This book provides an excellent behind the scenes look at the 2013 Blue Jays season and why, despite sky high expectations, the team struggled. Most interesting to me was the behind the scenes perspective on the monster Blue Jays-Marlins trade and the backup catcher that nearly prevented the deal from happening. I am not a Blue Jays fan, but this book was a great, quick read for me and one that I would recommend for fans of all teams.

It reads a bit like a news story, summarizing a disappointing season for a team with such high expectations. Would have liked to see more insight from an insider perspective. What was at play behind the scenes? Looking forward for more from Shi Davidi in the future.
A book that was completed shortly after the season. However, it did not feel rushed nor did I think there was anything that was left out. I was surprised to see players and staff members discuss their vulnerabilities/ sensitivities so candidly.
