Format: Paperback
I purchased this book a while ago based on Bertil Lintner's past excellent books. This guy researches his topics to death and knows Asia and Asia's underworld like no one else. I was really surprised that no one else has reviewed this hidden gem of a book

Highly recommended if you want to know what is really happening in this volitile country. Also check out Bertil Linter's other books or articles.

A must read not only for those interested in the misterious North Korea, but also very elucidating over subjects like Soviet and Chinese influence over Southeast Asia in the second half of the twentieth century.

However, the book may be a little out of date, since it was written before Kim Jong Un becoming the Leader (something the book thought would not happen) and the resurge in conflicts with the South.
