This crusher is nice and sturdy, and does a pretty good job of crushing cans. After a few dozen crushings, there's no sign of any damage or bending to the crusher itself like on cheaper models, so I think it's going to work for a good long while.
Slight downside: I live in an apartment so can't really mount it to a wall. It takes some muscle to hold in place on a horizontal surface, but it's very possible. It's easier to brace it against something, or maybe have a non-slip surface to put it on.
Cans are crushed to about an inch high. The crusher physically won't go lower than that, even without a can in place. If you're looking for penny-thickness crushed cans, you might want to look elsewhere.
I'm well satisfied, all told. I go through a lot of 12oz cans and recycle them, so a crusher is nice for making the most out of each recycling bag.
