I turned it on and it was very easy to understand. I believe it will work perfectly whether I'm weighing epoxy/resin or an overweight envelope. I definitely recommend this little "dude". It's worth the price.

Impressive design and good packaging - PLUS an Extra Battery!

Very slim! Package is less than 1/2 inch high. One battery was already inserted in the unit with a plastic pull tab to activate the connection. AND THEY PROVIDE A SECOND BATTERY IN A PLASTIC BAG stuck neatly inside the box. The box is intended to hold the unit when not in use. Really good quality box with intelligent design. The scale is ultra simple in design, but the low profile means that you need to be careful about the load drooping off the scale to the surface below which will cause an inaccurate reading. A simple flat plate will do fine since the scale has the tare function to compensate for the weight of the plate.
On first glance, this is a really nicely designed product. I only wish the product description mentioned the second battery.
I also purchased a 4 pack of replacement batteries via Amazon (FROM ANOTHER VENDOR) for the 4 scales I bought. Beyond the extra cost outlay, the box the batteries were shipped in was around 3x4x6 inches to hold a 1/8 inch thick card of batteries measuring about 2x3 inches. WHAT A WASTE! Shame on the vendor and on Amazon for such extravagance. The vendor of the scales was far more modest in packaging.
Upon registering the product with the seller for warranty purposes, they present a page which explains the product and how to use it and includes a number of FAQs. Probably the simplicity in scale design causes some user problems because the push buttons are imbedded in the scale platform. Pushing a button too hard or off-center causes the scale to try to weigh the "push". Good discussion in the FAQ how to avoid this problem.
For the price, this scale appears to be a steal compared to other kitchen scales.

I'm using scales for a very successful community meal packaging event where precision weighing the 6 meal bags before sealing is a key success factor for downstream preparation of the food by the recipients. We had been using $20 kitchen scales for years. These scales may be their replacements! We typically package about 16,000 bags per event (100,000 meals of dried Mac & Cheese ingredients ready to cook).
As with all things these days, time will tell. They may fall apart in 6 months - or maybe not. They do seem well made.

I use this mostly to measure smaller things and pasta counts since I was getting tired of "eyeballing" meals.

I use a bowl which I then zero on the scale, then adding food to the bowl. Sometimes the gram count will bounce up or down a decimal point and I'm not sure how perfectly accurate it is, but for "casual" cooking like I do it does the job fine and I think it would be well trusted for any specific recipes needed as long as the zero is reset.

Well worth for the price.

Super easy to use and turn on plus it takes up like no space in my cabinets.
