More Of A Question, Really
on September 8, 2007
I keep thinking about a six-word refrain from a 1980s song that I probably last heard-- in whole or in part-- no later than 1996. The song refrain (and maybe much of the rest of the song) has a male chorus which
chants: "Nothing comes to dreamers but dreams". It's definitely dance-oriented (i.e., "uptempo") R&B and I've often assumed that it was performed by Alexander O'Neal. But, clearly, sampling some of-- or all
of-- the 29-second portions of the album's or compilation's tracks on this website will not necessarily indicate what song one is seeking, or who performed it. In any case, can someone help me identify the song and the performer(s)? The song was definitely released by the end of 1987, if not by the end of 1986. Thanks!
