This is a nice collection of Rita's work and a must for anyone who appreciates the sultry, sexy, smokey voice of this woman. The only thing I can say bad about this is it's not "The Lady's Not For Sale" one of her old A&M albums and until they bring that one out on Disc you'll really not have the best of Rita Coolidge! That one will be a 5 star cd. Until then...this is about the best that you can get.

Be prepared for her sexy, sultry voice to give you goose bumps. Am I Blue and Fever will do it best for you. Unfortunately, I seem to recall a version of "The Lady's Not For Sale" which she did which is not included on this album. Bit disappointing. Otherwise, turn down the lights, close your eyes and concentrate on the very edge of sensuous song.

I alway's liked Rita Coolidge. I alway's liked her voice. And if I had been Kris Kristoffersen and been married to her. I could have written Lovin' Her Was Easier also. The only thing about her was I didn't really know what kind of style her music was. She had some success on country radio. But she wasn't really country. And to tell the truth if it wasn't country I really didn't listen to anything else too much.
We're All Alone was one of those country hits. And the type of song her voice was perfect for. Higher And Higher was another one of those songs. And Dolly Parton did a country version of it also. The Way You Do The Things You Do was another one of those songs. All these songs are good. Except I think it should have had the song You on it. Again I dont really know what type of song that was. Or if it was a hit.
