Usually when you buy a greatest hits CD, most of the songs are hits and a few are thrown in that makes the listener wonder what they were thinking when they compiled the album. This is not the case with this CD. Every song on it I would have chosen for this CD. Sure, with CSN, you could easily make a box set of greatest hits, yet this CD manages to capture them at their best. Not one song is out of place or obscure. I am very happy with it.

How can anyone ever beat this CD or the incredible talented men that wrote and and sang these songs so beautifully ????
Yeah, I know, they will never be beat, imitated, or even copied because no one today is even close...
Love this - "See the Changes" - a most incredible song with such beautiful harmony !!!!

So many hits, so much talent. Separately each was outstanding. Together they are brilliant. Southern Cross is one of my all-time favorites.

I bought this CD to give to my best friend's husband for Christmas. I had bought it several years ago for my brother for Christmas. He loved it and thought it was so great he told all his friends at work about it. This CD is jam-packed with all of CSN's greatest hits. The hits just keep comin' one after another. Great music to listen to in the car. The harmonies are superb. I highly recommend this to any child of the 1960s and 1970s!!

It is not easy to find all the songs from CSN on one CD/Album. I purchased this, because it had all the songs I really loved from this from this group. Especially, Southern Cross, Wasted on the way and Suite: Judy blue eyes. Plus , it gave me all the other great songs from CSN that I couldn't get on any other CD. Well worth it! Take it from an old repressed hippie!

This album will help you to remember* the sixties whether you were there or not. This is great CSN, well worth the price of admission.

The play list includes: 1. Suite: Judy Blue Eyes, 2. Shadow Captain, 3. Helplessly Hoping, 4. Long Time Gone, 5. Our House, 6. Southern Cross, 7. Marrakesh Express, 8. Guinnevere, 9. See The Changes, 10. Teach Your Children, 11. Wooden Ships, 12. Just A Song Before I Go, 13. Delta, 14. 49 Bye - Byes, 15. Wasted On The Way, 16. Carry On, 17. In My Dreams, 18. Cathedral, and 19. Daylight Again.

*The saying goes, "If you can remember the sixties, then you weren't there." This is a self-referential quote. No one remembers who said it first. According to Wikiquote, it is "Attributed to Grace Slick in Bangkok Babylon (2006) by Jerry Hopkins, p. 217, and elsewhere, this was also attributed to Paul Kantner in The New Yorker, Vol. 67 (1991), Dennis Hopper in Roger Ebert's Movie Home Companion (1992), and in various books to numerous others, including Judy Collins, George Harrison, and comedian Robin Williams."

This is only my second Crosby, Stills, & Nash CD that I own. 'So Far' was the first and I never get tired of it. I recently saw CSN in concert and realized I need to round out my CSN collection a little more. Amazon again to the rescue!

When faced with the task of putting together a " Best Of"...or " Greatest hits" of a band as prolific as C,S,N the primary issue is time restraints of trying to fit both the commercially successful songs as well as fan favorites onto one disc. Since this is not a C,S,N,&Y Greatest hits they were able to use just one disc, had it been a C,S N, & Y. Greatest Hits two discs' would have been needed. The only complaint I have is that the song " Love the one your with" is missing! Some may argue that, that song is a Stephen Stills solo project & indeed it was released on his solo album. however if you look on the original album credits you will see that David Crosby & Graham Nash are listed as back up vocalist making this song a true C,S,N. product. Especially when you consider how many times this song was performed live by C,S,N. Other than this missing gem it is definitely worthy of any Rock & Roll collection!
