"What I love about Dena's book is that it allows you to choose your focus, take bite size pieces, and learn how to turn your smallness down and your greatness up. Each section shares ideas, tips, tools and resources to jumpstart your personal greatness. And, you get to choose how and where you want to take a deeper dive. No matter who you are and what you are doing, each of has faced and likely still encounters our smallness voice. It's what you do with that knowledge that counts, and this books reminds each of us to be in choice every day. This is a good read for any women, young or old, no matter where you are in your life or career. "

As a leadership development facilitator and a leader myself, this book caught my attention. Particularly, the chapter that grabbed me most was the chapter on Leadership.
It is not always easy to stay in our greatness when we feel the responsibility and the weight of our decisions and how they affect others, but this chapter really hit home.
Dena was able to clearly pinpoint the smallness thoughts and mindset that derail many leaders and the behavioral habits that keep us from being the kind of leaders we strive to be.
Just when I thought she could not have hit this more clearly, the last page of the chapter shone like a beam from a lighthouse in a storm. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wishes to shake off the chains and restraints of smallness and step out bravely to be the great person you quietly know you can be.
