I give the book 4 stars, but take away 3 for the false advertising.
In addition to this odd naming of the gods, some of the stories were jumbled together, where, especially in the first few tales, she'd start telling one story, jump to summarize a second, mention a third, and then finish with a fourth. It got somewhat better as the book progressed, but it still cropped up even in the last tale.
For all that the stories were acceptably well written. If I didn't know anything about Greek (or Roman) mythology, and I never cared to learn it (or maybe if I wanted a simple introduction for my child), I might have enjoyed this book more. But if that's not the case for you I'd say look elsewhere.
