Told with a wonderfully comedic voice, this is the story of a woman who will not go quietly into that goodnight. It's about fighting the good fight, returning to your roots, and empowering yourself to make the best decisions based on your personal circumstance. Survivors everywhere will want to rally around Weezie.
I highly recommend. Expect this story to stick with you well beyond the last page.
Until it isn't.
As they say, the wife is the last to know. Weezie only finds out about her husband's "extracurricular activities" because her young sons accidentally spill the beans after they catch him in the driveway fogging up the car windows with a blonde bimbo.
Then, everything changes.
With a delightful sense of humor and a delicious sense of the absurd, Oliffe-Webster spins a well-written tale about a woman who loses the security of her old life, but with courage, determination, and the help of her friends, finds brand new purpose and meaning in her new one. Her predicaments and struggles are guaranteed to make you chuckle a time or two, and to tug at your heartstrings, as well. You might even feel like cheering when she decides it's okay if she says something a little more off-color than "Holy doodles!" Know why? Because Weezie is a character I think you'll all love.
I have another of this author's books (I reviewed it already), and I'm game for more from her.
