Gajanan M. Sabnis has been in the field of concrete and related fields for over 40 years. This book is a result o fhis passion to make concrete the best material of construction by building his own house in the US of concrete using the novel approach of "energy efficiency". Dr. Sabnis is a consultant and professor of Civil Engineering at Howard University, Washington, DC.
Sharda M. Sabnis is a strong supporter of concrete through her association as Gajanan's wife and her advocacy and knowledge of concrete as a building material. Her home was built to her specifications and with her full participation all stages of construction. She is Chief of Nephro-pathology Division at the world renowned Armed Forces Institute of Pathology, Washington, DC.
Edward J. Martin is a consultant and retired Samuel P. Massie Chair of Environmental Engineering at Howard University. He is a strong supporter of energy efficient homes; he and his wife Mary Ellen live in concrete home near Cleveland, OH. He has worked extensively in the US EPA, and has done related consulting in environmental and regulary work with many companies and local and state governments.
