The green job market is growing in the US; but with "green collar jobs" approaching buzz word status, it can be difficult to define what a green job actually is.

The authors of this book present an accessible view of what green jobs are as well as how job seekers can position themselves for green careers. The book concludes with helpful resources for those who are interested in transitioning into the green job market.

Although the book is geared towards the DC Metro job market, this is still a great resource for anyone curious about greening their careers. The cost of the book is definitely a worthy investment in anyone's sustainability-oriented future.

I really liked this book. The different articles about writing resumes & cover letters and interviewing were very helpful. I especially enjoyed learning about the "Ten Common Mistakes" that job-seekers make-now I know to avoid them! The extensive lists of environmental organizations and websites are also a great place to start to look for jobs. I recommend this book to anyone interested in the green industry, though it also includes good tips for job seekers in general.
