Liked the story alot, great twists and battles, the overall chaos, that's just going on when they get into it, on every page there's just another great scene of chaos all over the entire galaxy. I liked how coast city was a big part of why Hal felt the way he did. Just an overall excellent setup for what's to come.

The second, concluding volume of the ultra-epic Sinestro Corps War finds Sinestro and his fear-instilling corps of evil heading to Earth and watching their plans come to fruition, with Green Lantern's Hal Jordan, John Stewart, and Guy Gardner reeling while a bloody war continues in the heavens. Everything comes to a head here, as nearly every superhero on the planet unites with the Green Lantern corps as the war comes home, Kyle Rayner makes a come back, and a new Ion is born. All this, plus a new direction that gets forged for the Green Lanterns as well, which leads into the upcoming Blackest Night, which promises to have an impact unlike which none will see coming. As he has during his entire run since relaunching the series, writer Geoff Johns (Flash, Infinite Crisis, 52) manages to make Green Lantern one of the absolute most compelling superhero comics on the market. Co-writers Dave Gibbons and Peter J. Tomasi fare pretty well too on the Green Lantern Corps issue interludes, and the brilliant artwork throughout from Ethan Van Sciver, Ivan Reis, and Patrick Gleason only sweetens this hardcover. All in all, superhero epics rarely get better than this, and as The Sinestro Corps War comes to a close, we are reminded just how enjoyable mainstream spandex epics can be. Now bring on the Blackest Night!

The compelling finale to the Sinestro Corps War had many great moments and did an outstanding job of ending the story, while leaving enough loose ends to set the stage for several future conflicts.

My favorite moments were Hal Jordan helping Kyle overcome Parallax, a fight he's all too familiar with, the various Lanterns' reactions to the use of lethal force, and all the residents of Coast City refusing to leave even knowing that an army was descending upon the city, and Guy Gardner helping Kyle come to terms with what he'd done as Parallax.

There really wasn't a part I disliked, although when Cyborg-Superman went from one of the worst villains in DC Universe to nothing more than a whiny braggart I'd like to know. I also wouldn't have minded seeing someone at least hurt Superboy-Prime. He's become an annoying supervillain, and I hope someone puts him in his place sooner or later.

All in all, this was the best Green Lantern Corps book I've ever read.

This is a great story as a stand alone graphic novel or as binge read of the Geoff Johns, Peter J. Tomasi Green Lantern & Green Lantern Corps (2005-2011) Pre-Flashpoint & (2011-2016) New 52 runs.

The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because this version did not include and incorporate the Tales of the Wines tri Corps one shots such as TOS Superman Prime #1 TOS Cyborg Superman #1, TOS Sinestro #1 TOS Sinestro Corps #1 there was aseparate collection that of those issues as one books and an Absolute Edition that incorporated this book and that one as an Absolute volume but this just has the G.L. Sinestro Corps War #1 and corresponding G.L. & G.L.C. issues that are the main story

I enjoyed this version of Sinestro. I liked how the story isn't just cut into good guys VS bad. Sinestro from a certain point of view....had a valid point about the guardians. His method for delivering that point was wild....but I understand(lol). I wish comics didn't do so many retcons/reboots. This version was my favorite one for him.

This is one of the first comics I have ever read so It holds a special place in my heart. The first time getting it from my school library I just jumped right into it read the first volume and immediately grabbed the second. It was just too bad that I didn't bother to remember the title of it so it took me like eight years to finally find it and thankfully not as volume 1 and 2 but as a complete collection. Looking back at it it's still a pretty fantastic book. This is in my top 3 green lantern books And in my top 10 comic books of all time I definitely recommend.

Don't try to read this on your phone. Kindle has a great system for reading comics on small screens where it shows you pieces of the page (usually panels, but up to the publisher) zoomed to readable size and in order. Makes it easy to read and very nice. You can easily flip between modes to appreciate full page layouts as well.

But the publisher can screw it up, like they did here:
1. They limit the amount of zoom, so frequently even the zoomed panels are only half the width of my phone screen.

2. They turned off any form of zooming.

3. In a few places, the pieces are set up in the wrong order, so reading is confusing (like putting the paragraphs on a page in the wrong order)

I had to put on magnifying lenses to read this, and some pages even that didn't work. There are chunks of this story that I just had to skip entirely as unusable.

I know this is a problem with the publisher being annoying, because I've read other comics on kindle and didn't have these problems.

And I should clarify: "publisher" is probably the wrong word. "The Dark Knight" works great, and is also DC. But whatever group within DC that did the electronic preparation of _this_ book should be forced to try to read the results on an average phone screen...

5.0 out of 5 stars But it's still a damn good read. Though the rings feel a bit underutilised

Incredible story. The pages get a little cluttered with all the Lanterns. But it's still a damn good read. Though the rings feel a bit underutilised, the fights are still glorious. One minor issue is that nearly every battle seems to revolve around Earth's 4 Lanterns while the others act as weak cannon fodder. I'm a huge Superboy prime fan so this is worth getting just to see him cut loose against Sodam Yat.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Crossover story ever?
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on January 5, 2014
As a fairly new Green Lantern convert I was told that this was a must read, so I ordered it for Christmas and have not been disappointed. A truly epic story involving your favourite earth Green Lanterns, plus the usual crew like Killowog vs a stellar villains cast including Sinestro, the Anti Monitor, Superman Prime and Parallax. Basically everything you could want for in a Green Lantern book. The action comes thick and fast, but there is an underlying story with the rise of the "chosen one", the enigmatic Sodam Yat. A great twist here, with Sodam Yat, being from Daxam, a planet originally settled by Kryptonites many years ago. I will leave you to work out what sort of power set he has, with that genetic heritage! Anyway, I agree with the other reviewer who said this is much better than the hyped Marvel Civil War, a book that frankly I have struggled to get into. The main characters each have a strong role and get involved in epic battles, the best of which of course, is Sodam Yat v Superman Prime, who is basically an over-powered twisted and nasty Superboy, i.e. your worst nightmare. Just imagine an immature Superman, with more power and an attitude problem and you get the picture. Cannot recommend this enough to comic book fans..
