It has never been shown that human emissions of the gas of life drive global warming. Large bodies of science that don't fit the narrative have been ignored by IPCC, COP and self-interested scientists paid by taxpayers. A huge subsidised industry of intermittent unreliable wind and solar electricity has been created based on unsubstantiated science. The same hucksters now want subsidised hydrogen, costly inefficient EVs, subsidised mega-batteries and other horribly expensive tried and failed schemes to impoverish people, create unemployment, transfer wealth and enrich China. Germany, Texas, California and the UK had a glimpse of Net Zero with blackouts, astronomically high electricity costs and hundreds of deaths. We once had reliable cheap electricity and now that governments have gone green, we are heading for hard economic times.

In this book I charge the greens with murder. They murder humans who are kept in eternal poverty without coal-fired electricity. They support slavery and early deaths of black child miners. They murder forests and their wildlife by clear felling for mining and wind turbines. They murder forests and wildlife with their bushfire policies. They murder economies producing unemployment, hopelessness, collapse of communities, disrupted social cohesion and suicide.

They murder free speech and freedoms and their takeover of the education system has ended up in the murdering of the intellectual and economic future of young people. They terrify children into mental illness with their apocalyptic death cult lies and exaggerations. They try to divide a nation. They are hypocrites and such angry ignorant people should never touch other people's money.

The greens are guilty of murder. The sentence is life with no parole in a cave in the bush enjoying the benefits of Net Zero.

Loved the book, written from a Scientist and geologist who is world renowned. He doesn't mix words he talks with knowledge, some may not like this approach as he is very blunt . I enjoyed his style and his bluntness . He shows you the why and the how and also the lies that have no basis in the science of the way earths climate history happened. He tells you why the fear and dooming is an agenda being pushed with no real data behind it . Very interesting book and enjoyable to read

On of my favorite authors on the subject of climate change, highly recommend. I asked ChatGPT to list evidence of atmospheric CO2 tipping point. "The concept of an atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2) tipping point refers to a critical threshold beyond which the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere could trigger significant and potentially irreversible changes in the climate system. While the scientific understanding of tipping points is still evolving, here are some pieces of evidence that suggest the existence of an atmospheric CO2 tipping point:
1. Historical correlation: Geological records indicate that in the past, high levels of CO2 in the atmosphere have been associated with warmer climates. For example, during the Pliocene epoch, approximately 3 to 5 million years ago, atmospheric CO2 concentrations were similar to or slightly higher than present levels, and global temperatures were significantly warmer.
2. Amplifying feedbacks: Rising CO2 levels can trigger various feedback mechanisms that amplify the initial warming. One such feedback is the melting of Arctic sea ice, which reduces the Earth's albedo, leading to increased absorption of solar radiation and further warming. Another example is the release of methane, a potent greenhouse gas, from thawing permafrost, which contributes to additional warming.
3. Ocean acidification: As CO2 is absorbed by the oceans, it undergoes chemical reactions that increase the acidity of seawater, a process known as ocean acidification. This can have detrimental effects on marine ecosystems, including coral reefs and shell-forming organisms, with potential cascading impacts on the entire marine food web.
4. Changes in the carbon cycle: The current rate of CO2 emissions from human activities is exceeding the capacity of natural carbon sinks, such as forests and oceans, to absorb and store the excess CO2. This can disrupt the delicate balance of the carbon cycle and lead to a buildup of CO2 in the atmosphere.
5. Paleoclimate evidence: The Paleocene-Eocene Thermal Maximum (PETM) event, which occurred approximately 55 million years ago, is considered an analog for studying the potential consequences of high CO2 concentrations. During this period, a massive release of CO2 in to the atmosphere resulted in rapid and substantial global warming, leading to widespread extinction of marine species.
6. Climate models: Advanced climate models that simulate future scenarios consistently indicated that surpassing certain CO2 concentration thresholds could lead to abrupt and irreversible climate changes. Although the exact tipping values are uncertain, there is a consensus that exceeding certain CO2 levels would have severe consequences for global climate stability."
I am thankful there are scientists such as Mr. Plimer to counter the green's "evidence".

Ian Plimer is one of the true heavyweights of climate science. A great resources with a lot of info. The book has over 1600 end notes. Downsides: no index, and some big editorial faux pas, like a paragraph repeated, and some organizational problems. Could have used some more detailed editing.

This is simply an amazing book refuting the climate hysteria one point after another after which the mainstream climate narrative crashes like a rotten house of cards. Book arguments are beefed up by close to two thousands quotes. Please read this book and tell others about it. Hats off to Mr. Plimer

5.0 out of 5 stars A Magnificent Achievement.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on January 8, 2022
Ian Plimer has written numerous books about his opposition to “green”climate activists or “Warmists” starting with his seminal “Heaven and Earth, Global Warming: the Missing Science”, but this new 598 page book is a massive tome in which he summarises, chapter and verse, in great detail all the objections which so many people, including numerous eminent scientists, have to what the Warmists say and try to force on us. In the brilliant 84 page introductory chapter he certainly does not pussy foot about but comes out punching hard in his defence of capitalism and his brilliant impassioned attack on socialism and the decline of the modern education system and their responsibility for giving rise to the position in which we now find ourselves. His message gets stronger and more effective the further one reads. I thought the last few pages were especially good. In no uncertain terms one knows “where he’s at and where he’s coming from”. So the first rounds go to him in this titanic punch-up. But at this point the Warmists should not be discouraged; they should read on, if only to discover in detail what their enemy thinks. In the subsequent scientific chapters which follow there are many surprising facts which are not generally discussed or brought to light. I am constantly amazed at the breadth and depth of Plimer’s knowledge and understanding.
One of the most interesting chapters is entitled “How to ruin a country”. Many arguments and examples given in the book refer particularly to Australia. Plimer is an Australian geologist, but much of what he says is valid also for the rest of the world.
He points out time and again that the only country benefiting from the global warming scare is China. While the West is heading for Net Zero and pursuing “renewables” China is understandably growing richer by expanding its coal-fired electricity generating capacity whilst manufacturing and selling to the West the wind turbines and solar panels which the West thinks it needs (and should be making itself) together with an endless array of consumer goods for export to the West. The West meanwhile is virtue-signalling that their emissions are going down whereas in reality they are simply exporting their emissions to China and causing the latter’s emissions to rise still further. Pure hypocrisy! Meanwhile the Chinese are laughing all the way to the bank!
The final chapter is entitled “Cera Bonum Certamen”, which is usually translated from the Latin into English as “ Fight the Good Fight” which Plimer certainly continues to do here as he summarises all he has said in the book in very direct terms. I hope he will forgive me if I finish by giving some direct quotes from this excellent chapter. He says:

“Green activists are totally intolerant of a contrary view yet it is the tolerance of a democracy that allows them to espouse their treachery…..”

“ There is aggressive editorial censorship in scientific journals, newspapers, media networks and the social media sewer when an alternative opinion on climate change is raised. The evidence is not critically analysed…..”

“….and so too with the banning of discussion on climate change. Politicians beware. There is a groundswell of opinion amongst those who use common sense, whose livelihoods are threatened and who are sick of the lies”.

“Climate change relies on total ignorance in a zone where feelings outweigh facts.”

“the six great ice ages began when the atmospheric carbon dioxide content was far higher than at present, showing that atmospheric carbon dioxide content does not drive global warming”.

“For most of time sea level was higher than at present. Sea level has changed by up to 600 metres. Present sea level changes are within previously recorded variability, and land level rises and falls can give the appearance of a sea level change.”

“At present the global carbon dioxide content is increasing and temperature is neither rising nor falling. There have been two decades of pause in temperature rise, which if increasing carbon dioxide drives warming, should not have occurred.

“The number of species on Earth continues to increase despite five major mass extinctions and more than 20 minor mass extinctions. We constantly undergo species turnover, a process that’s been taking place for 500 million years and continues today.

“….Carbon dioxide is plant food and without it there would be no life on Earth. The recent slight increase in atmospheric carbon dioxide has led to a greening of the Earth, increase in forest cover and more productive agriculture.”

“Modern weather events claimed to be unprecedented have occurred with greater intensity and frequency in the past….Catastrophic lethal bushfires result from forest mismanagement because of green activist pressure and the combination of lightning, arson and a massive dry fuel load.”

“The temperature record upon which major policy decisions have been made does not survive a simple due diligence. Fraud is the thread that unites all climate data and predictions. The long-term homogenisation of the global temperature record is the greatest scientific fraud that has ever taken place and the financial implications are horrendous.”

“….One of the major sources of heat and carbon dioxide has been ignored. The long-term cooling and degassing of the planet is unseen and occurs deep in the oceans. Because of this the claimed 3% of carbon dioxide emissions by humans is probably far lower. If human emissions drive global warming, then it must be shown that the 97% of carbon dioxide produced by natural emissions don’t drive it. This has not been done.”

“….The global financial crisis and the COVID 19 epidemic. In both cases the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions of about 7% due to the grounding of transport and the closure of major industries made no difference to the measured rise in atmospheric carbon dioxide. This suggests that human emissions are swamped by natural emissions of carbon dioxide and may have no effect at all.”

“Renewables can’t generate electricity when it is required. A brilliant solution to this was to spend hundreds of millions on mega-batteries that hold a few minutes of electricity. These batteries have a habit of catching fire, hydrofluoric acid and other toxins are released and the fires can take a week to extinguish.”

“ Climate change has nothing to do with saving the planet. It is a mechanism whereby unelected elites control every aspect of our lives. Government haste to appease Green activists has resulted in increasingly expensive unreliable renewable energy, carbon capture, electric vehicles, “green” hydrogen and other schemes that lock in subsidies for decades.”

“The UN and its IPCC and COP are attempting centralised control of every aspect of our lives such as how we heat and cool our homes, where we live, what we eat, what vehicle we drive, what industries can operate, whether we stay employed in our chosen vocation and if we can travel.”

“The danger of unelected organisations controlling every aspect of our lives and our economy is that we lose national sovereignty and our natural competitive advantages.”

“The biggest scientific fraud in the history of the planet has now been in progress for 40 years and trillion-dollar financial decisions and eye-watering subsidies based on this fraud will end poorly. This fraud underpins the IPCC and COP talkfests….”

“The incessant fact-free propaganda from the noisy media and the pornography from the social media by climate activists prevent alternative views to be aired for consideration by rational thinkers.”

“…….The community needs to hold journalists responsible for their lies, exaggerations, concocted stories and bias.”

“The IPCC is a political organisation. They condense thousands of scientific papers into a scientific report and a Summary for Policymakers. The scientific report is measured, makes no outlandish claims about human-induced climate change and ignores all published science that presents a contrary view. The science in the IPCC reports uses the doctored and useless temperature record. The Summary for Policymakers is written for journalists and politicians, is unrelated to the body of the report and full of hysterical predictions about how the world will end and it’s all our fault.”

“Net Zero requires communist-style central planning….Entrepreneurs are scrubbed out and these are just the peple we need for economic prosperity…..Nothing in society could operate if there is Net Zero…..Talk of “Green” hydrogen, steel or aluminium is the blabber of hucksters trying to make huge amounts of money from yet more subsidies. Basic science, engineering and economics kill off such ideas.”

“Green’s promotion of renewable energy under the guise of human-induced climate change gives China complete dominance over our energy systems, infrastructure, food production, manufacturing and defence. We are exposed…..Green activists are essentially Chinese prostitutes…Green policies support Chinese and Russian authoritarianism and provide a transfer of wealth from the poor in the West to China and Russia as do some woke western corporations and governments.”

The volume is first and foremost an attack on Green Climate Activists and their associates in the media and green climate “science”. It is also an attack on the concept of Net Zero and the author says that “the dash to renewables is the biggest financial scam in history”.
The book is very well researched and Plimer includes 52 pages of footnotes and references to back up what he has said. I thoroughly recommend it. It’s a magnificent achievement.
