Just replaced our broken down Tempur-pedic mattresses with new extra firm innerspring standard mattresses. I have had lower back issues for as long as I can remember, wake up most mornings with a sore lower back. I've always opted for a more medium feel mattress but this time tried an extra firm. Now I wake up with absolutely no back pain. However, since I am a life long side sleeper, this extra firm mattress was bothering my hips and shoulders. I began researching toppers and did not want to go back to memory foam. I was seeing toppers that cost more than I spent on the mattress itself!
Then I came across this latex topper from Sleep On Latex. Read many reviews and pulled the trigger on the 2" soft. I did not want to change the firmness, but wanted a slightly softer feel for hips and shoulders.
Well, slept on this for the first time last night and it feels great without sacrificing firmness at all. Had no back pain again this morning. I have forgotten how good you can feel when your back is not hurting all day! You will not "sink" into this topper like one made of memory foam. I am 5'9", 195lbs.
I ordered a second one for the other side of our split king today. They are the same price directly through Sleep On Latex website, however, they ship via FedEx and I've had nothing but problems with them.
If you are on the fence about buying this, just do it! It will help and if not, it can be returned.
Oh, and ours had absolutely no smell out of the box whatsoever.

We bought a recommended IKEA mattress that turned out to be rock hard. After a night of awful sleep, I researched bed toppers and liked hearing about the benefits of latex as opposed to memory foam. This adds the right amount of height and cushy support to our bed and made it feel much more luxurious.The only downside is that it arrived with an orange stain on it :( not sure why that would happen with a brand new packaged item, but I took a star off for that.

So far I’m having wonderfully comfortable sleeps. This specific brand/type has holes in it for extra heat dispersion. You kind of melt right in!
Very happy with this purchase.
Only negative: latex has a bit of a scent. However, after a few days and a good mattress cover, it’s gone.
