For a newbie on green smoothies, this book is awesome. It gave me a background on the green smoothie revolution, information on the benefits of going green, and insights on the best vegetable-fruit combinations to create a nutritious and delicious smoothie. Most of the recipes have my favorite fruits and vegetables in them. I never thought of combining them into a smoothie before. Just like most people, I'm not used to adding vegetables in my smoothie or shake. But, now that I know that it can be done, I can't wait to go ahead and try them.
This book has discussed some of the topics that other people might not realized yet. I will also share this to my friends and my mom. It's never too late to stay fit in a healthy way. The recipes are also easy to made which I know also taste good as well. There are really a lot, I mean a lot of recipes you can choose from, whichever suit you taste. Thankies for this book. Thumbs up to the author.
The important information in the beginning of the book is extremely helpful especially if you are a novice.
Then you get to the delicious, nutritional recipes. There are a few recipes that the author points out as good morning smoothies, they taste great and really get you going. All of the recipes I have tried so far are good, but I especially like the various spinach ones. Another idea the author gives is making popsicles out of some of these delights. It is another great way for the kids to enjoy them.
After all the great information, amazing recipes and health benefits I thought I had it all in one great book and then I found one more gem, a green smoothie recipe for dogs! I have three dogs. I admit at first I wasn't sure they would go for it, but they LOVE it! So now I take them out for a walk and some exercise and then we come home and the dogs and I all enjoy our own smoothies. If you are a cat owner there is even one for cats.
I really enjoy adding yogurt to some of my smoothies. After you gain a little experience you can start to experiment with different things of your own. I am so happy I bought this book and recommend it to anyone who has been thinking about the benefits of green smoothies or ways to make their diet healthier and add nutrition!
Too many people look for smoothie recipes on the internet and find they do not create scrumptious healthy drinks. This book contains good material for those wanting to create a good source of protein for their get-togethers. If not a person who does not like to read books, it is okay. The kindle version is good to have on your pc, to read one recipe and then move onto another topic. Some drinks shown may not hit everyone’s taste buds, but you never know until you try it yourself.
This has been quite a helpful little book to take along to read and learn how to make drink based on making the user feel better.
