I bought it for fun in the backyard with my 7.5 year old and it certainly provided some fun.
It has 4 settings: left, right, full, and center. It works quite well and smoothly (as of now anyway). It also has very good coverage.
Durability wise, I don't know how long it will last, but if it lasts for at least a couple seasons then I think it is worth it. It has a 3 year warranty and says that you just need to provide proof of purchase and send it back to the place of purchase for a free repair or replacement, but things like abuse and normal wear and tear is not covered.
If you need something more durable then you will need to pay more... but so far I think it's good for light duty use.
Overall 4 stars.
Durability: I have not had a single issue with breakage, cracks or spray pattern after using over the summer. It seems heavy duty enough to drag around without worry. We will sure be using it again next summer, at least until a full time sprinkler system is installed. For the money, I highly recommend.
June, 2015: Update - After having it out and wanting to use it this summer, the plastic did break (where the hose screws in shown in the picture where the brown inlet is) - I liked the sprinkler enough, that I ordered a second one to replace the broken one. Instead of having the hose screwed in directly, I ended up getting a quick connect to plug in, and I can detach the hose easy without unscrewing it and possibly wearing on the joint. I am dropping the rating to a 4 star based on the durability, but still liked it enough that I brought a new one.
