Bride Two Soon: Love Multiplied, Book 1
Newlyweds, Ben, and Mollie are still in the honeymoon phase, having only been married a few months. What happens when Ben is called into Bishop Miller’s office to be informed he has been chosen to be a husband again, now to Mollie’s best friend, Beth Anne? It is one thing for two girls growing up as best of friends for the past twenty years and another to suddenly become sister-wives. Ben will be facing some challenging times with the antics of these two women. My favorite line in the story, “We had ourselves a good ole Come to Jesus meeting, yes, we did.”
The Prodigal Bride: Love Multiplied, Book 2
Sophia Randall, 19 years old, was to be married to Hiram Jefferson, 28 years old, as his second wife in the polygamist community of Green Valley. She loved his first wife Lucy and their two children. But the night before the wedding, she was giddy and would not settle down, and he got upset with her while trying to carry on a serious conversation and ended up spanking her. The next day, she gets in her car and takes off, leaving her friends, family, and community. Ten years go by, Sophia is now a young widow with two small children and broke. Her husband died of cancer, and she has contacted her youngest brother, Ben, and is returning to Green Valley. She wants to get back on her feet, find a job and eventually a place to stay. Hiram isn't happy to have Sophia back in town. This story has forgiveness, acceptance, and healing for both Sophia and Hiram. Feelings towards each other have never really died, and love can be found again.
This is exactly what happened to me with these books! I have been *obsessed* with polygamy (and spanking ;-)) for my whole life and to get my two favoritest things in one book was AMAZING!
The storyline and pace are very light and fun, there were not moments where I wanted it to stop, and to the contrary when I reached the end I was like "SERIOUSLY??". I always gauge a good book by my cries of "I WANTED MOOOORE!" *grin*
Actually, totally honest, I read these books before they came out in this set, but still bought this one because they are SO GOOD!!! And I wanted to lend them out to friends, and reread. ;-)
I couldn't put it down. I really found myself pulled into the loving relationships between the sister wives and their husbands. I could even visualize the love behind each discipline spanking that occurred.
In Love Multiplied, we start in the middle of the action, right after Mollie has found out that her newlywed husband has been ordered to take a new wife. And not just any wife, her best friend! And the fireworks begin. This story kept me reading. I couldn't put it down! The romance was so sweet and the spankings were so hot!
In The Prodigal Bride, Sophia Randall is back in town after leaving her intended, Hiram Jefferson, at the alter. Ten years later she returns, young children in tow, to try to set up her life. The interaction between these two when they meet is wonderful. These character are so real. I loved every page!
And now I see that there is a third book out!! You can bet that will be my next read. Highly recommended.
