Always wanted to buy a non-stick pan, but did not want the chemical coating. Finally found the Green Pan, benefits of a ceramic non-sticking coating sound all good. Even though it was very expensive for a pan of this size and make, I bought one any way.
At first the pan worked fine as a non-stick pan should be. Even though it is supposed to be metal utensils safe, we use wooden utensils anyway. After a few times of use in a couple of weeks, we started noticing a couple of small dark spots on the cooking surface of the pan. Upon close investigation, we found the dark spots were actually small chipping of the non-sticking coating. see the attached pictures. We continue used it for a few more times, there were even more small chipping spots showing up. It looks like the non-sticking coating really doesn't last. Worry about the chipped coating mixed into the food we eat, we have stopped using it. It has been sitting on the shelf ever since.
