This has been a fantastic purchase. We had a wok, but it was something likely older than me, which was a hand-me-down from my parents. My wife hated cooking with it. Thus we always tried to use a normal frying pan to cook stir-fry. I took a chance with this pan and it's been a very good purchase. It heats fairly quickly on an electric cook top. The high sides make it much easier to mix and toss veggies and meats for stir-fry. The ceramic non-stick coating is everything it's advertised to be. Food doesn't stick. Clean-up is easy. We have a rather nice non-stick Scanpan brand frying pan that gets used for eggs. This ceramic non-stick coating is better. I think we're going to replace the Scanpan with a GreenPan!

This has to be one of the best pans I ever purchased. WELL worth every penny. I live an oil free live style and this pan cooks just like they describe it on low to medium heat the best and heats up evenly super fast and I did not need oil to cook just a splash of water added when needed works perfect. I love it

Something worng with the finish

I had anther pan by same brand, which performed very well. I bought this new one, and after two months of regular use, the OUTSIDE of the pan started coming off, releasing a grey dust. The nonstick part is fine, but the pan itself is releasing some material on hands and surfaces. Website only has direction to file for a warranty claim if bought from them directly. Avoid.

Love this as alt to steel wok

This wok is wonderful for all kinds of meals. We wanted something we could cook tomatoes or super acidic foods in safely, and are hesitant about using steel even if it's nickel free. Getting away from toxic cookware and this is a great solution to use for numerous dishes. Have been babying it when storing with a towel inside it when I place something on top to keep the coating protected, but it seems very well made and solid. My only wish is for some kind of lid, but very happy with this product otherwise!

Bought this pan as an Xmas gift for a friend who loves to cook. Only problem...it doesn't come with a lid. I contacted GreenPan customer service and they don't sell a lid for this item, but directed me to a universal lid sold on Amazon that would fit. Ok cool, thanks for your help. However, lid I was directed to buy didn't fit either....too small. So friend has less than satisfactory gift. Pan is still nice.. I use mine all the time, without a lid.

Heat destributiob is good.
A touch heavy though.
It's not as responsive as carbon to heat changes, but it works better for home kitchens (or at least for me)
Easy to clean .. just use wood spoons on it and non stick will last longer.

This is my second one of these pans. My first one has to be at least 8 -10 years old and it held up great. It is still quite usable but is starting to stick, so I treated myself to a new one. I am sure this one will last me a long time too.
I use it frequently and it holds a lot of whatever I am making.
