Pots and Pans That Will Turn on You!

I should have listened to the reviews about the finish wearing off.. After 4 months of diligently caring for these pots and pans (hand washing only, never heating more than medium, cooling before washing etc) the beautiful surface that made for easy clean up has diminished. They are now extremely difficult to clean. Don't even think about scrambling eggs or cooking a curry in them... They'll never be the same! I really loved them for the first 3 months but don't be fooled, you'll work the hardest you've ever worked to care for pots and pans that will turn on you!

Love the pans not the care restrictions

We just purchased this cookware for health reasons. The pans came unscratched and packed well. They are made well and & have a great weight to them, but light enough for my wife. So far, we like how the food easily slides right out but we haven’t had them long and will update as time goes on. The care instructions were a lot more than mentioned. They suggest having your refrigerated food sit out 10 min before cooking, you can not use any spray oils as it will build up on pan, you need to make sure pan is cool before washing, you can’t tap utensil on side of pan, you need to keep pan at medium to low heat not heating up too fast & it mentioned to carefully “nest” your pans. Not sure what that is, but we have soft cloths in between each one. This is ok with my wife, but this is a lot to remember when I just want to grab a pan and cook. These are more high maintenance than I would have liked but I know they are a healthier choice then our old tephlon ones. I didn’t give it five stars because of the extensive care needed & the wood utensils included were very rough on the edges and would easily scratch the pan. We are just using silicon ones.

Bad money investment

I loved these at first but then a couple months of having them the outside is ridiculous! I am beyond upset at how they look. I followed the directions on how to clean them perfectly and that was still not good advice. I would not waste your money on purchasing these pans, they cook so great and it really breaks my heart they didn’t work out.

I have been very careful with this set of pans ...

I have been very careful with this set of pans... got the correct oil, etc. Outside and bottom of pans started showing black areas that won't come off. One of the pans finish was chipped on edges when we received it and some of pans' finish is starting to come off on the inside. Upon receiving theses pans, my 1st inclination was to return because of the finish on the one pan but decided maybe that wasn't a big deal but since these other things of happened, it us a big deal.

Wears out after a few months!

Wish we would have listened to the other reviews that people of had these plans for several months. They started out promising but after three months of use their sticking just as bad as normal pans. We never overheated them, always hand wash them, use a cooking medium. But after several months it seems the nonstick coating has worn off. Would definitely not purchase again.

Amazing set of pans!

I love these pans. They are sturdy but not too heavy. They’re not lightweight or cheap feeling. The care instructions seem daunting but if it makes these pans last I’m okay with it. The instructions say no spray oils and no extra virgin olive oil and that’s the hard one for me to abide by. It says they leave a residue. Other than that, no complaints here. They wash so easily so makes the handwashing a breeze. They are not 100% nonstick. Many things cook without oil but I still have to use oil for eggs and I have had to since day one. From my experience, most nonstick pans only stay nonstick for a short period anyways.

They heat evenly and cook well. I haven’t had any issues with the handles transferring heat like some reviewers.

Hand wash only.
Use plastic or wood utensils.
Don’t go higher than medium heat.
No sprays or extra virgin olive oil.
Instructions say let food warm to room temp before cooking (I have a toddler, I don’t have time for that lol but it hasn’t caused me any issues thus far)

I also have some of the Green Pan Rio set and I love them just as much.

Finish is coming off the outside of one of my pots

Initailly I was thrilled, it is a good looking set and I had another set from greenpan that were cheaper but much better overall. They look good but eventually the outside ends up looking uneven and like the colour is coming off. This makes me sad as I was previously a loyal greenpan owner. I am very disappointed. If considering greenpan go for the rio set as it never failed me and I owned them longer than just over two months that I have owned these. I may have to reconsider my loyalty or switch back to the rio set.

Bad choice

The nonstick surface soon became very sticky and even worse, the outside finish on the pots and pans started to wipe right off! Drying them by hand would turn the towel stained with the coating. Very cheap.

Seem good - one pan damaged on arrival

However one pot is damaged and there is no way to contact the seller..so review it is.
It's not worth shipping back to the US from Australia, so put up with one damaged pot.
A replacement pot would work.
