I placed the order and on Feb 25th - so no exchange possible at this time. Little did I know that I would end up with a bedspread with holes. I will change my review to excellent if the seller sets this right.
I don't know if the photos will show the holes well, but you can see them easily as soon as you enter the bedroom.
Update: I wrote Amazon about my disappointment. They responded immediately and very graciously and refunded my money. I like the bedspread so much, I'm ordering it again and hoping for much better results. Well done Amazon in your customer service!!!
I didn't lower my rating based on it being too big, that isn't it's fault. I took off one star because there are a couple of places where the stitching is looped up, as in lose, not a tight stitch. I think my dogs' nails are going to catch on these and pull them out altogether. There are also a couple of places where the stitching is already coming undone.
Overall it is a great quilt, the colors are nice and as others have said they match just about anything because you can pick up one or more of them and run with it. I pretty much sit on my bed all day, most days, (I have pain issues) and it is soft enough to make that comfortable, even on bare legs. I got this for a spring/ summer quilt and it's really nice for that, as it has a teeny, tiny amount of batting. I like it paired with a light cotton blanket, but I like the feel of some weight when I sleep. It is a requirement that all bedding I have is washable. Not only do we have two dogs, but I have allergies so I have to wash the bedding at the very least every two weeks. I really like the stitching on this, it will keep what batting it has from clumping and make it last longer. The reason I bought this was to replace a quilt whose batting had turned into little hard balls after all the washing it had endured (and yes I had followed the instructions).
I am going to send it back because of the thread issues and reorder it in a queen. No one else mentioned the thread problem, so maybe it's just this one. I will update when I get my new one.
Update Queen: Well I think they have some quality control issues, but it is made in China and it is a very inexpensive coverlet. The queen I got still has one place where the quilting has broken and is coming undone. I posted a picture so any one that wants to can see what I am talking about. This one even has a small spot right in the center where it is lighter than it should be, kinda like it was bleached with a bleach pen, but not that white or noticeable. It's a dye flaw in the fabric. However there are no loose looped threads this time. The length of the sides are perfect, the length on the bottom is a bit short if you want a nice amount of overhang and enough to fold down at the top or to cover your pillows, but since the King is so huge on the sides I am sticking with a queen.
Quick tip: I don't usually use shams, but this time I put one at the bottom of the bed on a whim and my dogs love it! Both of them have been using it as sort of a doggie bed. I am thinking of getting another pillow so the will each have one. I have posted pictures of them enjoying the shams.
Over all I still really like coverlet, but if you are a stickler, you might want to pass. Either that or be prepared to do a few returns (Amazon pays for them if there is something wrong with what you ordered). Alternately fix the quilting yourself if there is just one or two problem stitches. I really think the light spot I have is just a flaw in the fabric coloring, and therefore a fluke.
