I have owned the Irwin version of this screwdriver for well over a year, and I keep the Irwin at home and take the GreenLee version to work where a longer life tool is required.
The nine different tools referred to here are:
3/16" - Flat Head
1/4" - Flat Head
#1 - Philips
#2 - Philips
#1 - Square
#2 - Square
1/4" - Nut Driver
3/16" - Nut Driver
5/16" - Nut Driver
3/8" - Nut Driver

After owning both versions for some time now, if you were to ask me to recommend either the Irwin or the GreenLee, I would go with the GreenLee because the ball in spring holders built into the changeable bits are higher quality and will take much longer become stuck thus making the tool useless.

Title pretty much says it. In my opinion this Greenlee 9-in-1 is among the best of the larger multi-screwdrivers (9-, 10-, & 11- in one). It is very similar to the IRWIN 2051100 9-in-1 Multi-Tool Screwdriver, and in fact all the bits are interchangeable with that one. The Greenlee handle is longer than the Irwin, even though the shaft and all bits are the same length. So if you're going for something slightly more compact (and usually a few bucks cheaper), pick the Irwin. Some of the bits on the Greenlee might be SLIGHTLY better quality (just sharper machining; can't speak to longevity) than the Irwin. Both screwdrivers have zero play between the various shafts/sleeves/bits - apart from the weight of the tool, it feels just like you're using a solid screwdriver. Both these screwdrivers are at LEAST as good as the Klein 32477 10-in-1 Screwdriver/Nut Driver (and the 11-in-one) - in fact, I'd prefer one of these over a Klein, though any of these would be good choices overall. At least on my Klein, there's just a little more play/slop between the various pieces. Certainly not enough to impede functionality; just enough that it's noticeable, where it's not in the Greenlee and Irwin drivers. Of course if you want the torx driver bits, get a Klein.
The weight of this screwdriver is noticeably greater than a standard (single-bit) screwdriver, but it's not excessive and nothing to complain about. There's a lot of metal here! If you want the versatility of 6 driver bits and 3 nut driver sizes in a solid and durable package, you're going to pay a weight penalty.

I purchased one of these about a year ago(after losing a bit to my Ideal multi-driver) and have been through 5 now. Thankfully, these have a lifetime warranty but I'm tired of having to make a trip to the store every two-three months to swap it out. It is always the 1/4" straight blade that breaks, usually when tightening up breakers or devices. I use my tools professionally(every day all day long) and this is just unacceptable. If you're only an occasional user, I'm sure longevity would be better for you.

I re-ordered what I thought was the Greenlee 6-in-1 tool and was pleasantly surprised to get the 9-in-1 tool. I work as a radio maintainer for a large railroad and am constantly moving around with my tool bag, this item is the best thing I have in my bag. Not only do I have to carry 1 tool versus 9 but I love the feel and weight of this in my hands. I have found Greenlee tools to be better than Klein tools.

I would also recommend this to a home owner/apartment dweller that wants to keep their tool list to a minimum.

My husband loves these 9 in 1 tools for his work but the tips DO NOT LAST!! We have three of these now with broken tips, we buy one every year. They are not that expensive, but there should be a way to just replace the tip and not make the cost as much as the whole screwdriver! So far we have found the tips for this thing to be about the same as buying a new one!!! We may find a better one out there some day, but for now this one does the job. Now we just need to figure out what to do with all these broken screwdrivers : /

Ordered for my father for Christmas. He likes it. I used this exact model in a plant/industrial setting for about 5 years. It got used and abused to say the least and never failed. I still have mine and use it to this day. This is a truly awesome tool with plenty of bits for most screws you'll come across. Highly recommended. Greenlee makes some good stuff and this screwdriver is no exception.

I used a Stanley 5-in-1 screwdriver for years until one of the straight blades snapped. At first I just looked for a replacement bit but then came across this. Other reviewers liked it and many electrical connectors now come with a #2 square drive socket, which the old Stanley didn't have but this does.

What a great tool! The bits stay in place when you want them to but come out relatively easily when intentionally pulled. It takes much less time to switch bits than on screwdrivers utilizing interchangable 1/4" hex bits and you aren't faced with the loss of all of those bits if the storage compartment comes open. The only downside that I see is that if you do loose one of the bit pieces on this, they are expensive to replace compared to the price of buying the entire tool.
