The Lithium-Ion Advantage

And because lithium-ion batteries are recyclable and are manufactured without heavy metals, this lithium-ion tool is an choice.
Available Charger Reduces Energy Usage by 35 Percent
Indicators right on the battery let you know exactly when it's time to recharge. The available charger (sold separately) is Energy Star rated, which means it has been shown by the EPA to reduce energy usage by an average of 35 percent from conventional yard tools. Plus, you can charge the battery any time without any negative memory effect.
Lightweight for Comfortable Handling
Because lithium-ion batteries are two to three times lighter than comparable nickel-cadmium batteries, the 20612 is lightweight and easy to handle. At only 8.1 pounds, it's comfortable to use all day long. It minimizes strain on your wrists and hands and overtaxing of your shoulder and arm muscles.
The 20612 is backed by a four-year warranty--double the industry standard.

Top Customer Reviews
All of my cordless yard tools were B & D initially and all had the worthless nicad batteries. I started a replacement effort using Worx. Worx is far superior to B & D but lacks staying power. Now all my B & D are scuttled and if the Greenworks pruner continues to perform superbly I plan to try their other products.
Update: The battery died while still in warranty. I contacted Greenworks and they said they would send a replacement after I sent them some information. I sent everything they requested and never heard from them again. Lowered my rating because of the short battery life, the dishonesty of Greenworks and the constant pole saw leaking. My initial euphoria for Greenworks is gone.
I tried to attach the trimmer main shaft to the saw shaft because it has a perpendicular handle but they are not compatible. Still I cut a huge limb/trunk off one of my trees pretty quickly. It only threw the chain once when I tried to cut too big of a limb at its thickest point near the main trunk. Just cut several shallow cuts around huge limbs and it will cut them. The chain was easy to put back on the sprocket, just be ready to soak the oil up that coats around the chain when you remove the cover. the manual has pictures and labels all of the parts.
With all of the poles it's pretty tall. Reaching almost above me (5'10") I was able to cut limbs almost two stories up. It's much better than my older Ryobi.
Detractions are the chain access/adjustment plate not staying tight requiring down time to reset chain tension with an allen (hex) wrench. Also bar oil lube reservoir's capacity is very small requiring frequent replenishing. In addition, the resultant cut can be rather rough.
It's hard to beat this product for pruning or taking care of light storm damage for those with many trees in their yards.
