About the Author

Carmen Jenner is a thirty-something USA Today bestselling author, doctor, pilot and CIA agent. She's also a compulsive, flagrant prevaricator who gets to make things up for a living. While Sugartown may not technically exist, Carmen grew up in a small Australian town just like it, and just like her characters, she always longed for something more. They didn't have an Elijah Cade, though. If they did, you can be sure she would have never left. Catch up on all the news from the Sugartown Series and Taint Series at: www.carmenjenner.com

Let me preface this by saying I beta read Greetings From Sugartown, I had the absolute pleasure of reading, of experiencing this story from the ground up. I adored these characters that Carmen Jenner created, this world she imagined into being, I had such high expectations, because I loved the first two books in this series, but what I never imagined was how much more I was capable of feeling, how much more I could adore Ana and Elijah. Reading is such a personal past time to me, when an author writes well, I'm invested in not only the story, the hero and heroine, the supporting characters. I imagine myself in the story, I feel connected, in the heroine I see personality traits I admire, weaknesses I share.

So let's cut to the chase shall we... you've read Welcome To Sugartown and Enjoy Your Stay (if you haven't I suggest you stop reading this review as there will be spoilers for the first two books in the series)Ana and Elijah are back, Greetings is your glimpse into their lives now, it's their time to shine, and by god is Ana stunning, she is the light in the darkness that has been Elijah's world. She's seen and experienced more than anyone should...yeah Jenner went there, RAPE that ugly four letter word that I despise so much. When I lived those scenes in Welcome To Sugartown, I hated Carmen, because I felt Ana's pain so acutely, my body ached, my heart was shattered. Ana has moved on, or atleast she's moved on as much as anyone ever can, she's stronger, tougher, more resilient, but with all the healing she's done, she's still herself, a little neurotic, insecure, still questions if she's enough... these "flaws" are what I find so endearing about her, it's why I connect so deeply with her, why I'm so invested in this story.

This new addition to the Sugartown Series brings everything full circle. In Greetings from Sugartown, Carmen Jenner takes us back to the couple who started it all, fast forward 3 years. It's still seductively sensual but the need between these two characters is rawer and more carnal. Still very much whismical with Ana's new found feistiness, Holly's antics and the bromances that have formed through the last two books.

I'm still very much in love with Elijah and Ana, still love their cheeky banter but mostly I love how far they both have come. They are together and they are happy, until the past comes back to challenge them at every turn. Elijah battles his apprehension on what the future holds for them while Ana fights her insecurities, both will have to overcome their own personal demons and realize that they are good enough for each other.

"I want to possess her in every way possible, and the only way to do that is to make her see that I’m all she needs."

This is a story about learning to trust, getting over the pain and making sacrifices; no matter the cost. And believe me when I say, the price is extremely high, one that could potentially cost them everything. This was a rough journey, a lot of obstacles were thrown at them to test them and boy can Carmen deliver with her words. She ties everything in as she sucks you into Sugartown, where nothing exists except her characters and the world she has created for them.

Final Thoughts: Pepper and Sammie, I am ready for you Xxx

Love that the attraction between Elijah and Ana is still going strong after all this time! From Welcome to Sugartown, through Enjoy Your Stay and all the way to Greetings From Sugartown's epilogue. And phew! I was relieved when we reached that epilogue because you NEVER know what the Sugartown residents and visitors will throw your way!

BUT... First, I gotta get this off my chest. I don't care if it's free, I don't care if it's been a couple of years... NEVER accept a pizza from the slore, Nicole. There isn't a soul alive who wouldn't side with Ana when it comes to Nicole.

"Every time I see her I want to vagina punch her into infertility."

So, Elijah... I'm happy that you made her go but PLEASE don't converse with her what-so-ever! You should've let Ana beat her into oblivion.

With a passion that rivals my hatred of skinny jeans, I HATED the fact that Ana couldn't put that horrid incident between Nicole and Elijah out of her mind! How it rears it's ugly head and how it makes Elijah feel... (Even though I'll ALWAYS look upon that incident with disgust, just like Ana.) I just can't stand her insecurities because Ana is everything that's awesome in this world! Don't let them drag you down girl!

Gah! The betrayal that Elijah and Ana experienced... I felt so bad for them. Would it really be too much to ask that Ana NOT be assaulted/subjected to bodily harm in this book? When it happened this time... I felt sick to my stomach and was worried for a long, hot minute.

There were a few really satisfying moments in this book.
*The slore and the rapist getting what they deserve... *Let your imagination run wild with that one.*
*The scene involving Elijah's allergic reaction... Pretty darn funny.
