I own a Maxpedition Falcon II (which is waterproof, but since I have my laptop in it, I want extra protection in a downpour) with waterbottle holders added to each side, and the XS (extra small) size fits it nicely with still some room to spare. It says 55L-65L right on the Gregory rain protector (the Maxpedition Falcon II is listed as smaller, I think 25-35 L, but again, I added gear to the side Molle straps). I'm quite sure, based on the generous fabric left over when I put it on my tricked out Falcon, that this would also fit the larger Maxpedition bags (none of which are too large, as far as backpacks go) such as the Kodiak.
Time will tell if it maintains it's waterproofness. I'll update the review later (it's wintertime now, hard to judge).
This backpack cover comes in a pouch with a cinch tie on top, the dimensions of the sac are 5 inches by 3.5 inches diameter (it's a cylinder) and the total weight of it (I'm putting it on my scale now) is 4.8 ounces, which is 136 grams.
Also, the cover has a strap attached to it, but no instructions or explanations about how to integrate the strap with the pack. This wouldn't normally be an issue, but the strap crosses right where the suspension system contacts the lower back and is quite difficult to fish through behind the suspension system. If it is raining, you want a cover to go on quickly.
Overall, if you are looking for a pack cover for a Gregory pack, you might want to look to other brands.
I bought this item to cover my then-girlfriend's Gregory backpack, and it fits well. Holds securely, and keeps everything dry. I was also able to use it on regular, non-Gregory backpacks.
Stuffs away conveniently.
