It good but there some issues with the product.
3 out of 5 stars
It good but there some issues with the product.
The sound quality is good but I gave it a two stars because sometimes there is a delay with the music so it causes the song into a fast track for a couple of seconds. This bother me a lot because I don’t like getting interrupted. The other issue I had at first was when I received my package it looks like someone already open it. I was concern and disappointed.

Got this for my SO’s 2007 G35x and it works wonderfully. Sound quality is really good going through the RCA/aux input. Pairing it with an iPhone was a breeze. Nice to finally have Bluetooth streaming and all the cords are hidden away in the center console so the device is never seen.

Just be sure to turn the volume up all the way on your phone and then control the volume with the car’s volume knob/steering wheel control. Also, I’ve noticed that I’ve had to unplug and then replug to turn it on sometimes. But overall, it’s a really solid device.

Works very well in my Infiniti with aux that has RCA plug-ins. I used a 3.5 mm to RCA (red & white) cable instead of the included 3.5 to 3.5. All has been working well for me. Sound quality is very very good with 320kb music on Spotify and even Apple Music streaming at 256. But even better since I download most of my music so its almost "lossless". Only issue I have. It does act a little finicky to unpair for your idiot passengers lol; whom insist on pairing to take over music! Instead of allowing you to queue up a song for them. Anyways thats another subject. For what it does it pairs quickly every time with my iphone and never disconnects.

Nothing was received in return for this review.

When it works, it works well. The sound quality is good, and doesn't lack bass as I've seen in some reviews around the web. Easy to pair devices, and remembers the most recent device that was paired.

There's a problem in that sometimes it doesn't turn on when the car turns on. This happens about 1/6 times, and it's irritating. I have to unseat the device (pull it out and plug it back in). So those of you who want to tuck this thing away unseen to a not-easy-to-reach place should be aware of this.

All in all, good sound but a slight reliability problem.

Perfect, bought this because I first tried the Belkin option w/ handsfree which worked fine, though did not automatically connect when turning on the car. That silly step made me really dislike the product, even while it had no other faults. So, I got this guy and it's actually more minimal, especially considering I don't use handsfree a lot (no sticky mic somewhere), and two other plusses! Firstly, the audio cable is *not* attached, meaning if over many years the cable frays, or you want a longer cable, or whatever, it's simple to replace (Belkin's is built-in). Secondly, and I hadn't noticed this before, the Belkin cord is very, very thin. Griffin's audio cord is noticeably thicker. That means the Belkin will have a shorter life as the cable will wear sooner, and further, cannot be replaced.

Not much else to say, the concept is mature and difficult to mess up. It's easy to pair and audio quality is as good as my ear can notice.

Go for the Griffin!

I hate having wires running all over my car and for two years now I've been waiting for someone to come out with a reliable bluetooth/aux connection. So when I saw this product I had to give it a try. I've had it for about a month now and in general I'm very pleased. It reliably plays music wireless through my factory installed stereo (using bluetooth and the aux port). The sound quality is excellent as far as I can tell. I'm not a crazy specific audiophile, but I do appreciate good sound quality and this sounds fine to me (no electro interference/buzzing at all). Also, my phone (an iPhone 5s) connects to both this and my cars built in bluetooth (only used for phone calls), so when I'm playing music through this device and I receive or make a call, the music pauses and handoff the BT connection to my car. When the call end the music resumes where it left off. Based on this alone I would recommend the product.

Note however, this product did NOT work upon delivery. I ordered from Amazon and it arrived fine, but once I tried it in my car the product didn't work right. Primary problem was that music would only play through one channel (right side of the car). I tested the line, tried multiple cigarette lighter ports, etc. and determined it was definitely the product. For some reason the bluetooth would only output to the right channel. I emailed Griffin about the product and they got back to me right away. After a few emails describing the symptoms they confirmed it definitely shouldn't be working that way. They said I could return it through Amazon if I wanted a refund, or directly through them if I wanted a replacement. I chose to return it through them. Once I told them that, they said that was the easiest choice as all I needed to do was complete an online warranty form (took 5 mins), destroy the product, snap a picture of the destroyed product, and email the form along with the picture. I did that the same day, and within two days a replacement product was delivered to my house. Plugged the replacement into my car and all worked fine (both channels now playing fine).

Highly recommend this product for anyone looking for a BT/aux solution for streaming music in there car.

I really enjoyed this product at first. It worked well and was convenient, but after time that changed. The device would just stop working and drop my phone. I would have to struggle to get it working again. Sometimes I would just give up. A month ago the power adapter fell apart. For something that was rarely touched I didn't understand how it could fall apart. I'm upset that this product didn't turn out as I had hoped.....

Stop your research and buy this! Ah, how refreshing it is to buy a Bluetooth device that just. works. You just plug it in, and it appears on available devices, you select it and your phone syncs. That's it! When I played music from my Amazon music app, it played seamlessly from the car speakers. Great sound quality, no issues. Works flawlessly. FYI I have an 07 Toyota Prius and a Google Pixel 2XL. It was a pain to find something that would allow me to play media via Bluetooth in the car. This is it!

I guess I should have researched this better than I did. Stupid me. I thought this would allow me to use it as a handsfree device for my phone as well, but unfortunately it does not do that function. Streams music only. It does that very well, and mutes when a phone call comes in, but that's it.
