I bought the case to protect my Ipod touch 5 from rain and water spray as i work on a boat out at sea most of the time.
The case dissapointed badly.
Okay, first the good.
The case has a rigid interal protection harness that holds the Ipod firmly. This should protect the ipod against most knocks and drops.
Instellation is easy, and taking the Ipod out is not that difficult, alhtough it is not something i would reccommend you do very often.
The touch screen responce is very good. I left my screen protector on the Ipod, and still had no problems operating the unit, inclusing playing games.
There is a thin protection at he bottom of the case over the speaker, allowing most of the sound to pass through. Reception from the mic through the case is also good.
Now, the bad.
The case has a rubber flap over the main camera. You need to remove the flap to take a picture. This may not sound like much, but the moment you remove the flap to take a picture, the camera lens and part of the body is exposed, including that the case is open to allow sand and water to enter.
The second problem with the camera, is that it sits far back in the case. For normal pictures, it is okay, but when taking a picture in low light with a flash, the flash reflects back off the case, causing color distortion. My case is green and all the pictures came out looking like they have been taken through a green filter.
The flap at the bottom of the ipod, where the charging port is, does not close properly. Even when fully inserted, there is about half a millimeter gap where water easily can run in.Read more ›
The only bad thing is if you like to change your case, it is a little difficult to get on and off, but it fits so well to protect it.

Daughter loves her new case. She feels that it is well protected. Would have given 5 stars but we have to take off the case to recharge it on her Ipod clock radio console. Read morePublished on May 15, 2014 by Jerry L Estraca

I really like the color. It fits well. It protects it from all elements. The only thing I don't like about it is the clip that goes on the back.Published on January 15, 2014 by Therese
