This was a really fun read and the artwork was well done. As a fan of the Grimm Fairy Tales series it was an interesting addition, I personally have been missing the old premise of Sela or Belinda bring the book to people who are in trouble or have a problem that relates to them rather than the current mystical war thing going on. This is a lot more down to earth and I liked it. The main character Britney is interesting and likable and of the cast a few of the people she works with stood out as interesting (albeit some came off one-note, but this is in the feel of a horror flick) which was good for the suspense. This looks like it will be a good read with the action and plot laid out in this arc.

There is one point in this trade that drove me nuts, it was how random censorship of swear words was used. You'd assume that in an independent title marketed towards adults there would be none of the "@$%!" things but here it's used on-and-off, sometimes they have the characters actually say the actual expletives then for no reason at all other times will use symbols. It's very grating and a sign that the editor needs to get it together.

I absolutely love Zenescope comics, especially their grimm fairytales series. However, i have always noticed that the artists switch up throughout the series, so the next volume could be drawn by a different artist and look completely different, but still a treat for the eyes.

Grimm Fairytales series is not ur traditional fairytales u grew up with. They still hold a lesson in each one, though it leans more towards the dark twisted orginal lessons instead of these happy endings most kids learn nowadays.

The characters have a new twist to them and are more modern but with a fantasy touch..or slap

What i love the most of the grimm fairytales series is that many of them arc with others, such as this which arcs with the main Grimm Fairytales series and, if i remember correctly, also arcs with the new Grimm Fairytales: The Dreameater.

This is NOT for kids, as u can see by the cover. Though it is sexy, it does not contain nudity but it very violent

This should be a TPB, meaning it contains multiple isssues. For example, this one should contain, say, vols 1-5 and the next Volume will contain vols 6-11.

Like my title says, it's an okay book.
Nothing great, not bad either.

Read it on the net or buy it used.

The only valuable thing to buy it is for the covers, IMHO...

I don't really read the story line so much, I got it for art ideas and it is quite useful as that!

Way, way better than I thought. I purchased on whim, curious about how the Grimm series and was very pleasantly surprised. The art is quite good but the writing is what surprised me. This comic is actually well written and interesting, it puts a unique spin on the "red riding hood" fable and leaves the reader wanting to continue reading. I would definitely recommend this comic!
