The only con is the stories aren't the "original" version per se. The Frog Prince for example turned human again by sleeping in the princess's pillow, but the original version, the prince turns human again after the princess violently throws him against the wall. But I guess it's for the kids to read more so than adults. Still worth getting. I'm still pleased.
Generally speaking, fairy tales can boost cognition, imagination, and creativity.
The book is useful for children to adults, age 5 or 6 years old and up.

I actually have two Collector's Library copies. I bought my first copy before Macmillan acquired CRW's collector's library. Back then they came with striped jackets and red cloth covers. Later they came out with a colour edition which Macmillan has republished as this one. The paper is nice and thick and the artwork is richly coloured. What a beautiful miniature book!
