This is the third book I've read from this author and every single one was unique. I wanted to hate the hero, just because he is so fascinating to the opposite sex, and so clueless, but I had to fall in love with him. I didn't think I'd like this book because I'm not a fan of MC romance, but this was a laugh out loud, sexy page turner. Like all of Ms. McHeyzer's books it's got lots of surprises you'll never see coming.

Fist off I want to say that I freaking LOVED this book. Its at the top of my favorite books now. I often say that I would love to crawl into a book and help or hug a certain character but in this case I want to crawl in Margaret McHeyzer's brain. What goes on in that head of hers in phenomenal. The places that she has to go to in order to come up with some of the stuff she does is amazing to me. She really continues to wow me with each and every book. Ok now that I have gushed on one of my favorite authors let me tell you about this awesome book.

Jaeger is the biggest jerk on the planet! Really everything that comes out of his mouth automatically makes you want to punch him in the face. He has no filter and really is just a huge jerk! He will leave your head hurting with how much of a pain her is. He is such a jerk that he is funny as hell. Did I mention he's a jerk? Ha you get my point. When he formally meets Nix for the first time you see a tiny glimpse of the good man he can be.

Nix is a firecracker from the get go. She isn't afraid to hold her own. Her mouth matches her HUGE personality. I instantly liked her as she loathed Jaeger so very much! Jaeger will stop at nothing to get into Nix's pants and as much as she tries to fight it she is confused by why she is attracted to such a man as Jaeger.

This book will bring out many different emotions. I found myself laughing, pissed, and my heart even broke along the way. I couldn't stop turning the pages of this book. It was that good. Be prepared to take a wild hard ride as this book is full of twists and turns that you will never see coming. You have to read this book.

This book is not for the faint of heart it is raw, emotional, violent, sexy and well as the title says it is just plain Gritty!! I loved this book so much!!

Jaeger Dalton had horrible parents. They kicked him out on his own when he was just sixteen because he didn’t make the thousand dollars they require him to make when he sells their drugs. Trying his hardest to find somewhere to sleep and something to eat, he turns to fighting so that he can steal money to help keep him alive.
One night he is found by a man named Aaron, who introduces him to underground street fighting. He is also introduced into the world of MC’s. He soon becomes the President on the club, which comes with great perks, like whores sucking him off. Yeah, he likes that.
When one of his men doesn’t come through and misses two payments, he rides out to find him. Instead of the guy he was looking for he find this girl. This girl that he’s seen before and has an odd fascination with. He takes the girl back to his club to protect her from the other MC that wants her as well.
Phoenix is devastated at having to leave her farm behind. Slowly adjusting to being in a club, she makes an unlikely relationship with foul-mouthed Jaeger. And of course, as you’d expect, something terrible happens and he has to save her. But does he make it in time?
I love Margaret McHeyzer. She is an absolutely amazing writer and writes all sorts of different subjects. This book has to be my personal favorite, though, because Jaeger is a riot. He is absolutely hysterical.
Everything about this book is perfect. The story line is perfect, different, and keeps you on your toes. When the bad thing hits, you will be screaming at your kindle.
If you love MMA books and MC books, then this is for you. It is a combination of both and has everything you could want. There’s unlikely love, there’s fighting, there’s bikes, there’s dangerous situations that the girl needs rescuing from, there’s betrayal. All of it. You will love this book!
Six stars (out of five) for Grit! This is definitely Margaret’s best book! Give it a chance and read it!

Wow What an idiot Jaeger is? How can a man who is so hot and in control of his body be so clueless about love. This is a great book to read, it has a style all of it's own. How does love prevail and how does he get his girl, sorry woman? This was a page turner it kept me enthralled until the end, it made me laugh, gasp and cringe but also warmed my heart. Loved the character inserts from her other books
A book well worth buying

Grit is the first biker book I have read, so I started reading not knowing what to expect. It is the story of Jaeger and Nix. Jaeger is the Prez of the Hunters MC and an admitted a**hole. Nix is a firecracker of a woman who ends up in his protection on a trip to collect a debt. Nix is far from weak, and fights Jaeger every step of the way. I went through pretty much the entire spectrum of emotions while getting lost in the story. Following in the steps of her previous novels, Margaret McHeyzer has managed to suck me into her world yet again, and I couldn't put the book down until I had finished it. She won't let you go til you reach the last page!

Grit - This book was so bad in so many ways. Jaeger Dalton is sixteen when his loser, drug dealing dad kicks him out into the streets because Jaeger can't sell enough of his drugs to meet his dad's quota of l,000 dollars in drug sales a month, week or whatever. Fast forward about eight or so years later and we find Jaeger is now an underground MMA fighter. One night the winning purse is huge, if Jaeger fights to the death and wins. While in the ring, Jaeger spots a beautiful redhead girl who is with an older dude and looks shocked and afraid of her surroundings. Jaeger is turned on by this (WTF) and decides he has to have her. He proceeds to win the fight and OMG kills his opponent in the ring. When he looks for the redhead, she's gone, like any person with any common sense. Jaeger leaves his life of death matches in the ring and inexplicably becomes the Prez of a motorcycle club. While collecting a debt at a farm he discovers that the readhead beauty that he saw that night of the death match is the daughter of the man he's come to collect from. The story develops from this point. I'm not going to retell the entire story, but just so you know, I bought this book after reading all of these glowing reviews, and I just don't get it. Jaeger Dalton is a juvenile, sex addict neanderthal. The redhead turns out to be Dillon, (Phoenix, Nix) who wants to hang on to the family farm, but discovers after her fathers' death that Jaeger now owns it. Okay, I said I wasn't going to retell the story but, a few more facts: Jaeger finds out that Nix's dad also owes another MC and this club will take Nix when they come to collect and whore her out. When the other club comes, Jaeger saves her and takes her to his club.Read more ›
