Grizzly Salmon Oil for Dogs
All Natural Salmon Oil
Grizzly Salmon Oil is derived only from wild Alaskan Salmon. The salmon oil naturally retains its balance blend of valuable fatty acids and is further protected by adding all-natural Rosemary Extract. It contains inherent antioxidants and traces of vitamins that naturally occur in the salmon. This all natural product will not interfere with your dog's intake of vitamins from other sources.
Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids
Grizzly Salmon Oil supplies a daily supplement rich in EPA and DHA - the right omega-3 fatty acids. The recommended daily dose of Grizzly Salmon Oil yields approximately 500 to 2500 milligrams of these important fatty acids, depending on your dog's weight. Your dog's metabolism uses these nutrients immediately without any prior conversion.
When given to your dog as directed according to weight, Grizzly Salmon Oil delivers approximately 50-300 milligrams of linoleic acid, the essential omega-6 fatty acid.
How Grizzly Salmon Oil is produced
Grizzly Salmon Oil is gently extracted in a state-of-the-art production plant that handles nothing but high quality, salmon based products. A totally enclosed and continuous in-line extraction process ensures the oil is kept away from air until it is pumped into your pet's food bowl.

But alas, upon my return to order yet another jug, the price has gone up dramatically with no explanation. Paid $36 in September, but now it is $119. Will simply have to find another brand. A shame, as it is a good product.
Our poodle absolutely loves the oil on his Blue Buffalo dry dog food. While he'll eat the Blue Buffalo on its own, he always searches for all the pieces that have Salmon Oil on it first, then eats the rest when inspiration strikes. Our schnauzer, well, when he's hungry, he pretty much eats anything and this is no different. He continues to eat with gusto and purpose with or without the oil.
I do think that this oil has made both of our dogs' hair softer and smoother. I was hopeful that it would help stop our schnauzer's itchiness that he's had since he came home from the shelter, but it hasn't done a lot there. They really like the oil and their hair looks like they are well-loved and cared for (which they are!). I'm happy that this is an easy way to get them some fatty acids that is simple to put on their existing dog food.
HOLY SMOKES! It does make her hair shiny! After i shaved my dog due to matting, the hair remains are super shiny! Too bad that she is a white dog so it is hard to notice the shine. But they are shiny, for sure. Next time i will ge purchasing the 64oz bottle!
Using Nzymes made his hair grow back after a rebound of meds made most of it fall out. The trouble is that it grows fast now - but still falls out. So I've been trying Omega 3 products to see if they help him retain his hair better. And maybe they do but it's not super obvious.
I had been using some capsules but had to puncture them - get the stink going - before my dog would ingest them. I figured this pump action grizzly brand would be easier than poking a protective casing.
It is easier, but it smells nasty. Nastier than the pellet things. Fortunately, like most dogs, if it's stinky, he likes it better & usually licks his bowl clean. But when he doesn't I have to wash it out or foul up my kitchen.
It lives in my fridge & stays liquid and pumps easily cold. And still stinks. But the pooch eats it. Whether or not it's helping his hair, I still give it to him because he still eats other foods heavy in Omega 6s. -1 star for the stink but it does appear to be what they claim to be selling, whether it will help your dog I don't know.
WTF is with the price increase - not sure anyone noticed, it's for a dog. Switching to something else.
