-The side snaps have taken quite a while to get used to, but they are growing on me--they make the diaper a lot trimmer.
-The prints are adorable--I love the bicycles.
-The inside is soft if I run it through the dryer once.
-The side snap tabs are very stretchy and seem that they would be quite comfortable.
-It is quite absorbent, and my baby hasn't had one leak in this diaper.
Here are some cons:
-The elastic is weird--it gets all twisty (?) when it's not on my baby. But it seems comfortable to him, so I guess it's just a personal preference thing.
-It takes forever to dry, which is typical of an organic insert.
-The side tabs are not my favorite--when my baby is squirming around as he usually is, they are quite difficult to adjust correctly.
-If I don't dry it enough in the dryer, the cotton insert is very stiff.
The elastic is too tight and leaves a mark around the legs. Also I did not like that the insert was sewn into the cover. I still like the choice of being able to remove the inserts and use the cover as many times as possible even though its an all in one. I would prefer it to have a snap instead. The inserts are extremely narrow and not sure how much coverage that would provide.
The snaps on Gro Via are very nice and sturdy, which I prefer over velcro snaps. Its harder for my toddler to open the diaper himself. I do love the prints, I think they are adorable and I like that they use organic cotton.
I think this diaper would be best for a smaller baby.
The color however is more of a butter yellow than what appears to be khaki color.
I would recommend G diapers or maybe the shell alone. They are softer, roomier, and the inserts made of hemp hold up pretty well and are easy to wash. I also like that they have a hybrid option. You can also buy disposable biodegradable inserts like Gro Via.
