Mirella has agreed to start things back up again but this time it’s going to be by her rules. I thought this was kind of silly since Weston didn’t follow the rules to first time around, neither did Mirella for that matter. Now the rules are being revamped, except they pretty much stay the same. At least the same as the broken rules from before. Craziness abounds here my friends!
And I can’t wait to get into book 3!
Not safe…at all.
No apparent triggers except to beware of men who act like total douchebags…just sayin’.
Buddy read with GR friends who shouldn’t lead other friends into the psycho world of couple swapping oops, sharing.
I did question myself that Gabe didn't push Mirella more about her feelings for Weston when they broke up. I know there were the rules that they shouldn't talk about what they did with the other part, but again the swapping had ended.
But their time away didn't last long. I must say that Weston is clever, he's smart and he is definitely to droll over. What annoyed me the most during this book was that Bridget was kind towards Mirella. She was not a bitch which I would have guessed. They were all loving characters.
This book is filled with a lot of Weston and Mirellas 'meetings' and their funny and sexy. In this book the ground rules is rewritten. Some of them is kept, some is removed, some become blurred and some are not followed. And when rules are bend or not followed their will be consequences.
Book 2 picks up right where Book 1 left off. After months of trying to forget Weston and move on, Mirella seems to finally be doing pretty well...until she isn't. All it takes is one meeting and she's back to considering this arrangement again. Weston is nothing if not persistent and in book 2 we get to see that he is calculating (I didn't see, or realize, that side of him in book 1.) The relationship is resumed, the rules revised, and Mirella is trying so hard to make this just purely physical, no emotional attachments, trying not to make the same mistakes. One trip and that is shattered.
I was trying to figure out why this storyline is so intriguing to me. I think for me it's because there is no bad guy, these are not bad people. They have put themselves in a bad situation for the sake of excitement, adventure, and it has lead them to a crossroads of sorts. At this point, I can't look away, I'm SO invested in this story! I ultimately think I'm rooting for Gabe and Mirella to come out of this stronger and more secure than ever...but then Weston gives me a shy smile and my resolve is as weak as Mirella's!
I can't wait to see how this ends...yes, there will be another book, and yes, this one leaves you hanging, but trust me, it's soooo good. And the "watching" scene (You'll know what I'm talking about when you read it) is hot!
