I don't mind low budget like many people do. I don't mind seeing a string holding up a spaceship, like most people do. To me, it's about the story, not the visual.
The picture for the cover is good and interesting. The title implies, to me, a large scale spread of the situation. I have to admit, I didn't watch the last 5 or so minutes so maybe that happened in the end, however, most of the story takes place in a abandoned or in the process of being built, small warehouse type setting.
The acting is bad. The one guy, is kind of funny in a goofy way, only because I've known people who act like that. I think Tom Arnold would have been great in that part. The story, it's like a 6th grade class created this.
At 40+ minutes, all the while I was surfing the Net, waiting for the story to pick up, I finally had to click forward. I ended clicking forward with about 5 minutes left. I have paid much less for movies I could at least sit through.
There are those type of people who find stupidity in acting and storyline funny. If you are one of those, you might find this at least amusing but true horror fans, go elsewhere unless you have run out of options. Still, even desperate, I would not recommend paying more than .99¢ for it.
I would not buy a disc of this movie, even a low priced used version. You will not want to view it more than once in my opinion.
I'm a big supporter of low-budget movies. Through the years, I've seen quite a few that were great movies, then others that were real stinkers. Take a guess where I'd put Ground Zero at. Sadly, it'd be on the lower end of that spectrum. For a zombie movie, it was okay. It did keep my interest in my watching it and the cinematography was good. However, there were times when this movie was an absolute bore..then, it'd pick up the pace only to bore me again. Seemed as though it was having a hard time making up its' mind what it was wanting to do.
Ground Zero is worthy of a rental, if nothing else. It's not THAT bad of a zombie movie. Don't let other reviewers fool you.

Not worth the time. The front facial view of the dead is nicely done. So the movie has a nice cover and that's where the good stops. Read morePublished 12 months ago by Phillip O.
