How are ratings calculated?
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.

This is my mom's book! I would suggest that there are a few places that my child's perspective disagrees with her parent perspective, but now that I have been a parent (and soon a grandparent) I understand what she wrote better. I appreciated these words of hers when I was parenting. She and Dad did a good job on the six of us. We are all healthy, successful adults in the later end of our careers (some retired even). Even our kids are turning out healthy members of young adult society!.

I dont agree with all the views of this book and quickly passed it on. It discusses some valuable advice for new parents of teenagers.

I saw myself in this book, and it wasn't pretty. We try so hard as parents to do the right thing, to give sound advice, to hear our kids out and even go to their defense. The thing I learned most from this book is that I actually hindered my childrens' growth in becoming responsible teens and maybe missed out on some real opportunities for communication. This book should be required reading for parents of children entering the "tween" years and middle school!
