If you love to travel and do it a lot—or occasionally do a special trip, this book will show you how important it is to use a certified trip planner. This planner’s expertise and connections can get you special privileges and maybe save you money.
This book will help you learn how to travel FREE as leader of a group, and how with their professional help, turn your vacation into a special event.
In the world of planning group events, a Certified Group Travel Specialist can help customize your group trip, making it an “unmatched experience.”
In the book the Petersons write about how you can start with a few like-minded people—friends, relatives, work-related, special hobbies or interests—and with their help, turn it into a group of many more. These connected people bring families and maybe friends, and the group grows, all the more people to have fun together and share this experience.
If you are an author with a large following or someone who regularly conducts seminars on land, consider planning a cruise with YOU as the focal point. Those attending can get up close and personal with you while family members enjoy the cruising experience. A trip Specialist can tell you all the tips and strategies to make this a very successful experience.
As a reader, it was interesting to see each cruise line described as to cost and quality, what it provides, who they cater to, etc. Many all-inclusive resorts, especially in the Caribbean area (No. 1 destination for cruising), are also described.
The authors guide you through all the perks of traveling in a group, especially if you are the planner, and details those advantages—ranging from a free booking for groups over 10-12, or even income earned on the trip for special events. Written in a friendly, conversational style, I especially liked all the quotes from famous people, my favorite being from Mark Twain; ‘Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness.’ This guide book is aimed at those who enjoy group travel, or connecting with fellow hobbyists, special interest groups, or even family members in a reunion. The authors bring attention to situations that many of us have experienced, such as sharing a Jacuzzi with strangers, and point out how much nicer it is to be surrounded by friends or people you have something in common with. The book offers many details on how to make group travel pleasant and rewarding. Drawing upon a wealth of information from their own work in group travel planning, the authors give you the information you need to either do it yourself, or hire someone else to do it for you—an easy, quick read recommended for those who love group travel.
