I purchased this to inject a soap solution into a cleaning system I made for my pool filters. Using 10 spray nozzles with 35-40PSI water pressure at a 16:1 ratio I emptied my soap reservoir in a eye blink !
After putting a 0.010 flow restriction pellet in the siphon hose the system has been working great.

I have used various syphon feeders for over 30 years, including brass models and this plastic one. Every one I've tried has the flow restriction issues, and this one is no different. However, this feeder is the least likely to clog, and the easiest to unclog if it does. For that reason it has become my favorite. The downside is that, being plastic, I've snapped a couple off at the juncture of the feeder line nipple and the main unit. I'm online today getting a replacement for just this reason. Still, considering the clogging issues with the various brass models, I'm still choosing this model.

It would seem that it requires an uninhibited flow of water to work adequately. Thus it's OK for use with - and only with - a standard hosepipe. If you have it connected to a hose with sprinklers attached it simply will not work.

This little siphon works OK if you have full flow through the hose. It will not work with a nozzle that restricts the flow. I use it to apply liquid fertilizer, using a cutoff ball valve on the end of the hose, so the water is either at full flow or off. It works OK for my application, but it is not for everyone.

I spent 4 hours trying to get the darn thing to work. From reading other comment and reviews, I guess the water pressure must be >30 psi and you CANNOT have any type of restricting nozzle on the end. I need to siphon insecticide through a hose that"s connected to a powerwasher to spray 30'-40' trees. I even tried working off my deck so I only had to shoot up10' or so and it would not suck anything out of the reservoir. Still looking...

I got one of these, have tried using it with different water pressures, connections and hose lengths and barely pulled a pint of fertilizer in over an hour far from the 16:1 it is supposed to deliver. Also, needs a vacuum breaker connection to work properly though homes built after 1990 are required to have them I still needed to have it for it to work as poorly as it did. Going to do a diy with a pressure tank instead of these gimmicks.

I hd high hopes that this product would allow me to feed my garden as I watered it. Believe me when I say I followed the instructions to the letter. In addition I tried to eliminate every possible reason why it wouldn't work. How do I know it wasn't working? By using a container filled with just water for the siphon mixture and monitoring the level. No mater what I tried no amount of water in the container changed. I even tried to contact the company through their website for help but got no response. As a result I had no alternative but to ask for a refund. To their credit a refund was quickly applied to my account.

As far as other reviews that claimed it works, the only thing I can suggest is maybe they thought it was working when their solution was just evaporating. If anyone else knows why I couldn't get it working I would be thankful.
