Great product, excellent price, a few pieces missing

I bought 1 case of these jars and thought that they were so good and so cheap that I would buy a second. These glass jars are very attractive and the lid comes in 2 parts the top and then a screwable portion. This makes them perfect if you are going to be doing some "canning". I however just use mine to store flour and such but they are still really good and look great on the shelf.

The only downside to this purchase is that in the second case that I ordered 2 of the jars were missing the screwable portion of the lid i.e. they just had the top covering. This is a bit of a pain as I don't want to send back the whole order because I am missing 2 parts so I have decided to use these 2 for other things around the house.

This would make me hesitant to order anymore just in case this happened again. They are however great jars and I am overall very happy with the purchase.

I am satisfied with the quality of the product. I love the wide opening design - I use them to store dry goods for baking, including chocolate chips, almonds, brown sugar etc. The wild opening really made it easy to use. And the jars seal well enough to keep the nuts and sugar for a long time.

The reason for not giving it five stars is because of the price tag. I believe you can find very similar items, or even the same ones for 50% of the price locally. I personally see them in Target, Walmart and even hardware stores like Home depot for $10 to $12 dollars. make sure that you check with your local store first.

Lids are no good

This product came with the lids and rings on the jars already screwed down tight. So what happened is that they sucked down onto the jars in the varying temperatures and altitudes they went through in the warehouse and journey to reach me and made the lids vaccumed down thus they are in used condition now. They are no longer fit to use in canning food. The rings and the jars are in good shape. Its just dissappointing that I will have to throw away part of my order and get new lids.

I ordered these mason jars for a long list of different projects and uses. I like that they're quite big, giving me more freedom to store larger amount of things as well as make bigger projects. They're really great if you're juice fasting, as they have plenty of room to store enough juice to last you a full meal as well as maybe a snack also. They're sturdy and the lids fit quite well. The jars do have an odd scent when you first open them from their packaging, which I'm sure are just from being manufactured.

The ball jars are great - you can store a variety of food product in them on the counter, in the fridge and in the freezer (be sure to leave enough room for expansion when freezing liquid!). I give the jars 5 stars.
BUT, I can only give Amazon 1 star for these jars. Why the high price? I ordered them in haste from my go-to website Amazon, not thinking to check around for a better deal. Just hours later, I found the exact same 12-pack of jars for 1/3 the price. I immediately tried to cancel the order, but it was too late. Amazon wants me to pay way to much in shipping to return the jars. I did a little extra research and found these for half price with free shipping at other websites. I'm pretty disappointed that Amazon doesn't have competitive pricing on these. And since my purchase, the price has gone up!

I can't really review this as i only had them for one day before i noticed that 2 of the 12 jars were missing when someone had opened up the product prior to delivery and most likely took them and resealed the package.

But apart from that- the Jars seem strong and sound- proper seal and could be great as Beer Mug for all your hipster friends.

Use all day and night and everything was fine until they started breaking and creating a mess. I like the jar concept for my drinking pleasures; will need to find a stronger jar for next order. 6 jars are gone...

Later, all 8 are gone. Went to Mason plastic. So far, so good.

Nice but not amazing

My only problem with these jars is the fact that the lids are not rust-proof.
I use these to carry around water, juice, and/or protein shakes. If any of the liquid gets on the inside of the lid and remains there, it starts to rust or oxidize and when I go to drink I taste the rusty/oxidized liquid.
If I would've known I wouldn't have purchased this.
