"I haven't read a book front to back in a long time but The Guardian was one that I just couldn't put down! I knew Robbie Cheuvront was a very creative person from writing songs with him over the years. But as a Novelist, Robbie has, without a doubt, taken his craft to a whole new level!" - Richie McDonald, Former Lead Singer of BNA recording artists LoneStar, writer of multiple BillBoard #1 songs, and CMA and ACM award winner.
"Having been privileged to work with Robbie co-writing songs and recording in the studio,I'm certain anything with his name on it deserves a closer look--he is the definition of multitalented." -Chris Waters, Grammy Award winning writer of multiple BillBoard #1 songs, and also an award winning columnist and critic (Graduate of the Culinary Institute of America) for a food magazine in the San Antonio area.
An ancient document plunges Anna Riley into a world of deceit and corruption. Will she survive long enough to unravel the secret of the scroll? Jason Lang suddenly finds himself in the role of Anna’s protector. Will his attraction to the Guardian lessen his ability to defend her against powers seen and unseen?

Anyway...you get the idea. The book is grammatically blundering, which makes it a chore to get through at times, and while the story is good, the plot has holes big enough to drive a truck through. Did Jason just abandon his post as a teacher without a word? What about his family? Did Anna swim with the scroll in her pack or did somehow miraculously remain dry? Lots of loose ends and poorly developed characters leave you without much investment in the story's outcome.
So...yes I'm being harsh in my criticism because there is so much potential here if the authors would learn their craft and make it their business to produce an effort that was worthy of their obviously creative talents. Either that or hire a better editor!! Or a Ghost Writer. I'm all in for the story...but I don't know if I can wade through another grammatical mine field like this one.
Though I don't believe that it usually happens in this manner, it was a great explanation of salvation. Christians and non-Christians alike will enjoy this book. It has a good plot and lots of action. Although there is violence in this book, it isn't unnecessary violence. No blood and gore just for the sake of sensationalizing the book.
I think you will enjoy this book.
