Review

"Stephen Cabral is an awesome trainer, and his workout programs are phenomenal.”

Kim Lyons -- Trainer for The Biggest Loser TV Series

"You won't find any redundant, time-wasting exercises in A Man’s Guide to Muscle and Strength. These are serious programs to develop muscle strength, size, and power while improving coordination and athleticism. It's what everyone wants but few know how to achieve."

Lou Schuler -- Fitness Author

About the Author

Stephen Cabral was voted the 2011 PFP Personal Trainer of the Year and has completed more than 15,000 private training sessions since 1999, helping athletes, CEOs, doctors, stay-at-home moms, and everyone in between reach their goals. He specializes in breaking down seemingly complex concepts into bite-sized chunks of information that people can digest and put to use. Cabral takes great pride in changing people’s lives by changing their bodies.

As the resident health and fitness expert for NutritionData, Gather.com, Self.com, Diet.com, and a host of other companies looking to inspire their members through proper strength training and weight loss, Cabral has written and published over 1,100 articles. He has also appeared as a celebrity trainer on the reality TV show Survival of the Richest and worked with MTV’s Made for six weeks as a strength training expert helping a contestant get into shape the fastest way possible.

In addition to his writing and training network, Stephen Cabral has shot more than 100 fitness videos that have been seen by well over 3 million viewers online. “The Best Ab Exercises You’ve Never Heard Of” generated over a million views alone. His partnership with Diet.com, meanwhile, has enabled the site to produce numerous high-quality, award-winning videos for YouTube, including one that was voted the top how-to video out of hundreds of thousands of competitors.

The personal newsletter that Cabral writes is read by more than 100,000 people each week at www.StephenCabral.com.

This is a must have book for anyone looking to build muscle and increase strength. It breaks everything down in any easy to read and apply format. You can bring this book to the gym with you and track your workouts using the workout cards provided in the book. The author goes into detail on the how and why in terms of muscle building and strength. The book also includes intriguing and important topics such as "The Top 10 Training Principles to Lift by and The death of cardio as we know it"

Coming from a skinny guy, this book has already made a difference in my life. I have family members I had not seen in about a month and they asked "what are you eating" I then responded with "it is what I have been reading". This book will get you the results you are looking for and then some!

A Man's Guide to Muscle and Strength will not only help you with your muscle and strength, but it will help you become more knowledgeable and informed in the world of fitness and your own personal health!

Enjoy!!!

This book has the routine schedule to go through to develop oneself, one's strength and those kinds of schedules I find difficult to follow. However, the number of exercises shown, different weightlifting exercises and bodyweight too, are very good. Very reasonably priced too, I know of a lot of these exercises from taking cardio-type gym classes but this one has some new ones to me as well. Recommended. The instructor additionally, seems understanding and easy-going. Lots of books are out there, I've read some and passed over others but this is definitely helpful with a large amount of pictures too. Doesn't go over the same thing over and over which some exercise books do do. Probably good to sum up as a basic manual.

Stephen Cabral has put together a definitive guide to fitness from diet to exercise. The fact that each week is broken out into only three workouts of 30-45 minutes is perfect for anyone that is not a gym rat and wants a quick effective workout. Each training section is just six weeks of highly functional and ever-changing and this will keep the workouts from becoming stale and boring. I did the first workout this morning and look forward to the rest of the year.

Stephen Cabral wrote an insightful book in A Man's Guide to Muscle and Strength. This book is filled with pictures and tables. Cabral breaks down each exercise and each chapter by difficulty so that you don't need to be an Arnold Swarzenegger wannabe in order to workout and gain muscle.
