Just getting around to posting reviews. I bought this about 2.5 years ago.
We have a 1-year-old we bought this for and we've had it now for almost a year. We've had plenty of fun with this and not many complaints.
Honestly I've probably had more fun with it than my boy has because I'll put something together and then he'll pull it apart.
He likes to pick out the balls and throw them and none have broken yet (we do play on carpet though most of the time). He also likes to take the magnet parts and stick them to the legs of a metal table and chairs we have.
I do agree that the magnets are pretty weak overall and it is very difficult to build anything higher than two levels without it totally falling to pieces but there aren't enough pieces to make anything bigger anyway.
I would recommend getting more than one set though. We have 2 sets and a third might be a little better to do more things with them.
