This is an excellent game. There are a few issues with it and it crashes once in a while. The gameplay is awesome though. Keeps me hooked for hours at a time. The box is a little misleading though in saying that all versions are included. This is only europa gold and the guild 2 pirates. The original Europa and The guild 2 are not included. Still way worth the price.

This is a good non violent game. The game teaches some basic business skills. There is amble room for your child to express their design and creative abilities.
On the negative side the game can cause the computer to freeze up.

I should have done a review of this a long time ago..this is a ok game if you have time to burn..it wasnt what i thought it was ...but was happy with what i got..i hardly ever play it now ..mainly beacuse i got left 4 dead 2 ..Sorry it's trueth.
Excellent game(s). If you like games like Pharaoh or SimCity, this is kinda like those but more up close and personal. You start out by owning just one business, but over the generations you accumulate more and more. You can play as a violent robber or a peaceful potter, or any of the other professions. Over time you can do them all at once.
The flaw with this game is one that is common with most JoWood games. It's incredibly detailed and the most fun you ever had playing a game while at the same time being unfinished and buggy. The AI is incredibly stupid. It seemingly has no goals or strategy at all and just pick actions at random. The rival dynasties will manage to kill themselves off most of the time, without any assistance. The game is semi unstable (on my computer) and will freeze about once every 6 hrs of gameplay, or so. Enough to be annoying, but far from unplayable.
Also, there is no end game(not a good or bad thing necessarily). As the game progresses you own more and more, while you have fewer and poorer opponents. Eventually you just have dozens of businesses to micro manage while there are few or none left to oppose you. I usually start over before it reaches this point, though.
This game has excellent replay value. I enjoy part 1 the most, but the guild 2 isn't bad either. If you like this game I must also strongly recommend

. Another excellent, quirky and incredibly fun run your own business type game, that never got the attention it deserved.
