Saire & Jase's story is so much more then just a regular love story. This is an epic story that revivals some of the greats. I found myself wishing that I could find a man that loved me as much as Jase loved his Sarie. Their love is one to be envied and strived for.
The family dynamic between all of the Anna siblings was documented brilliantly in this book. I found myself wanting to be a long lost sibling to just join in on the family meals.
I LOVED this book and am really glad that I picked it up. For this being Mrs. Dean's first book...WOW!!! I can not wait to see what she comes out with next!!! I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a great read that will leave you wanting to know what comes next for this group of characters.
As much as I wanted to give 5 Stars, my OCD mind cannot get passed grammatical/punctuation errors. It's just the way I am sorry.
However, the story itself was amazing, the characters were absolutely believable, and the dialogue amongst the characters was emotional and entertaining.
Definitely looking forward to more from this author.
In this first book we meet Sarie Anna and Jase Riggins who are good strong characters and they know what they want, which isn't alway easy. The story is full of love, laughter, and sadness, but through it all we learn of the love the family have for each other.
Thank you for an amazing read!!
She captured all the drama, emotions and more than just an ordinary love story.
Jasen is home, but his military life isn't forgotten. He joins his friend and family and create Anserve. He's now a protector/contractor and is sent to be Sarie's bodyguard.
She comes from a large family herself, and is quite successful. She's got her career and is now mixed in with Jasen.
He cares for her and puts her first. His job is dangerous. Then you add in the siblings and it all changes. You would think the overprotective brothers would be obstacle enough. They are in love and the demons Jasen has to face can either destroy his relationship or bring them together. Be ready to cry a time or two and expect to be swept into this love story. It is a great start to a series.
While I liked Sarie and really admired her strength her actions during the last third of the book left me thinking- is this the same person I've been reading? Granted some of the things she did were justified considering the less than ideal situation she was in but I still feel that for someone who was such a fighter, she gave up and in rather quickly. But forgiveness is a funny thing- it heals them but it also heals you. And Jasen needed it- BIG TIME. He was the bright spot in the book for me. I felt for him, all the unnecessary guilt he carried. How he put everyone before himself. How he cared for Sarie. She was his heart. Their relationship was sexy and easy- until it wasn't.
Even though Jasen messed up, he found the will to pull himself out. Now it did take an intervention but it was well worth it. He put in the work and the result was what everyone wanted. Including Sarie's older and very protective brothers. The relationship between all of the brothers and Sarie, the baby is what made me keep reading. Their relationship was realistic and warmed my heart. I think I'm going to give this series another shot because I want more of those Anna brothers!
