About the Author
Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, Joe Pagetta is a writer and nonprofit communications professional whose personal essays and arts writings have appeared in America: The Jesuit Review, Nashville Arts, Nashville Scene, Chapter 16, PBS.org and—if you count the time it published an excerpt of his letter to novelist Colum McCann about his fashion sense—Esquire. A cycling enthusiast, amateur chef and book collector, he is a founding member of The Men of La Mangia and The Queen Breakfast Club, and for many years, was the namesake of a sandwich at Savarino’s Cucina in Nashville.
