I read the GWR as a kid and got the newest edition for my own children. I am not so fond of the new design. The layout is magazine-like and for how huge the pages are, the text can be shoehorned into pretty tiny areas.

The layout is pretty chaotic and inconsistent from topic to topic. This 2018 tries to apply a “Superhero” theme to everything and it just doesn’t work. I also don’t like how several pages are devoted to commercial content about superhero movies and videogames and actors - none of which relate to world records.

Love the cover! Metallic 3D effect front and back - looks great. It's a good size - a big book in little hands and 255 pages (the last page is just an advert). It's as interesting as I remember it and that is 'even' taking the internet into consideration!
