This book is arranged by key and colored at the right margin of the page so they can easily be found by flexing the book upwards . There is one chord per page and they are easy to find. The spiral "lay flat" binding allows for ease of use while you have your instrument in your lap. Definitely a wise purchase!
The book itself is nice. Spiral bound and color pages. The paper could be better quality for what you're paying for it. But the pictures are very easy to see and understand. They have the fingerings and the scale degrees labeled with each corresponding note.
What it doesn't have is a lot of variety. Only one position for most of the chord qualities and no 1-3-5 triads in any position.
For what it says, it does it. It's just not for the intermediate guitarist wanting the more fundamental approach.

However as an intermediate player looking to become more of an advanced guitarist, I must say that this book isn't everything I thought it was. I bought this book expecting to find 4 voicings for every chord but it simply doesn't. The problem that I have is that for me, this book is just showing you the same chord shapes over and over, but on a different root note (hence why I think this is a great book for beginners or people who need to study their fretboard). Unfortunately, this book only shows 2 chord shapes for every basic chord, and then as the chords get more complex, we only see one chord shape per chord which kind of bums me out a bit. I was looking to expand my knowledge of chord shapes and this book did that to a degree, but not as much as I was hoping.
My second problem with this book is that It doesn't tell you directly which intervals are which. It tells you the notes of the chord and what the corrolating interval is, however it leaves it up to you to figure out which note is which in the actual chord shape. Some people may see this as a good thing as it kind of makes you think about your fretboard and figure it out on your own, but with me already knowing how the fretboard works, personally I find it a bit of an inconvinience.
Overall, if you're within your first 2 or so years of guitar playing and don't know much about chords, then this book is probably going to change your life and become your best friend from here on out. If you've studied a bit of music theory, then this book will still aid you and probably help you snap to your chords a bit quicker and aid your understanding of the fretboard. But if you already know multiple voicings of most chords and are looking to expand that knowledge further, then maybe this isn't the book for you.
Ive heard they do an advanced version of this book which may suit my needs better, but have yet to check it out.
Just everything about this book is perfect.
-The smartly coloured pictures are huge and cover a chord a page.
-Each chord is easy to find
-The directions to where each finger should be placed are easily understood.
-Spiral bound = Simplicity!
-All the chords you'll ever need with the more complex ones at the end
-Small enough to fit near enough anywhere
Honestly if you want a chord book this is the one. I find it useful being by my side when learning a new song through tabs, very easy to quickly remind yourself of many chords.
