Fun, Well Presented & Explained :
Charles Sedlak is a good teacher, the material is fun, well presented and explained. He concentrates mostly on the practical aspects of the right hand techniques -- tremolo, rumba pattern, triplets, etc. All material is explained slowly and is repeated and demontrated multiple times -- over and over to a point where you almost don't have to rewind the DVD in order see the demonstration again. It is the closest video product that emulates a "live" teacher I have ever seen. - --Myflamencoguitar.com
Deatiled and Thorough :
In January I bought your Flamenco Made Easy dvd and it is the best instructional flamenco dvd ever! You are the greatest "teacher"! You are so detailed and thorough. I actually learned the Malagueña and played it for my son's third grade class and they thought it rocked! Thank you for such a good dvd! - --Donna (Louisiana)
A Friend Teaching You :
I have really enjoyed Charles Sedlak DVD. He has a way of teaching that goes well beyond others that I have purchased. His presentation is more of a friend teaching you as compared to the others that think they are so much above you. - --Ramiro Trevino (Prosper, TX)

I have been playing guitar for over 20 years but am totally self-taught and do not come from a classical background. This is new territory for me but it is fun and Charles Sedlak makes a seemingly very intimidating genre of music fun and approachable.
I am thankful for that and thankful for the chance to have begun a new journey with his DVD. I would love to meet him ... he seems that cool and easy going. Thanks Charles!
Pepe Romero recommends its study and Segovia was a flamenco player before he concentrated on classical.
I see this DVD as a great primer and if it helps you get to the next level then it has done its job.
Mr. Sedlak certainly shows his enthusiasm and always encourages you to "make it your own."
There's a companion PDF booklet of the music (standard and tab) on disc and available online.
As of this writing I'm a second year student so the material itself is accessible and it is really all just a matter of putting in the time.
If you follow along at a slow and steady pace and I think you too will find this DVD to be worth your time.
He just shows you how to get the flamenco sound, while informally teaching you some cool sounding but easy to play pieces. And sometimes that's all you want. Formal flamenco studies are slow going. Sedlak gets you to the payoff quickly, so you can sound like you halfway could actually BE a flamenco player, with just a few weeks of consistent practice.
There is much, much more to flamenco than Sedlak presents in this video course. But you're more likely to stay motivated with this material, especially if you're a begninning flamenco player, than if you take the long road of the flamenco purist. Even intermediate players will find some nifty secrets to add flair to their playing. And in contrast to the sometimes stupefying cadence of other flamenco teachers, Charles, with his long hair and wavy eyes, is wonderfully entertaining.
