with Erich, you get the equivalent of a University professor level teacher.
but you don't have to pay thousands of dollars for tuition and books.
Erich's rates are much more affordable.
I recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn how to play the guitar, and anyone who wants to improve their playing.
I wish that I could have had this book and Erich for a guitar teacher when I first started playing in the 70's. but you know what, better late than never. way better.
buy this book. read the chapters in order as Erich says to. HAVE FUN playing and learning and using the techniques that he teaches you (also as Erich says to).
let me try to stress this concept very much.
make it fun. make it so that you smile and laugh while you're playing around and learnning on your guitar. learning how to play guitar might be really hard for you. it has been for me.
what I'm saying is that playing guitar should not be like getting punished.
it should be (at times and very often)hugely fun!!!
Erich's awesome teaching prowess is going to help you learn to play (or learn to play way way better), this confounded infernal instrument that we call a "guitar".
this book and Erich's videos are an invaluable resource for anyone who really wants to learn to play guitar or improve their playing.
may the force be with you. Kirk out.
I am making good progress - better than with any alternative.
Erich encourages you as the pupil to go away and practice practice practice
all the basics. This is the focus for improvement.
I personally have little time and have the book on my office & home lap tops.
I have just completed an hour on drawing up the fretboard notation.
It takes time and application.
I am enjoying the experience and recommend this book to any student and also wider reading and watching short vids.
Some advanced readers can skip the beginning chapters of the ebook regarding getting acclimated with your guitar. Reading the beginning chapters still will show you something you probably didn't know.
For me I went right to the Major Scale section of the ebook just to see how the author was presenting the information. After reading how clear and precise it was I went back to the beginning of the ebook and read it as well.
Would recommend to anyone looking to broaden their current knowledge or grab something that they had overlooked or couldn't grasp from other books.
