Just got these trucks and put them on my 46" pintail and went down a pretty mild hill. Man it was awesome! Carving felt so smooth, the board was so responsive. It felt very surfy, like I was on water. I'd like to try a little more speed and see how they feel.

Speaking of speed, these trucks turn so tight I really found it easy to control speed by carving, which is great because I don't know how to slide yet, so carving is all I can do to control speed.

All things considered, I'm very happy with these trucks and I can't wait to see what else they can do.

Update:

I took my board with the sidewinder trucks on a more extensive trip and it was awesome. Rode down a parking garage and the board was able to carve down some pretty steep ramps with no problem. I could do a full u-turn at around 15-20 mph no problem without sliding.

The board is so responsive, it really feels like you're on water. If these trucks can stand the test of time as well as normal trucks, they will be my favorite all-time trucks.

Update #2:

Took these trucks out for a 2+ hour ride which included carving up a pretty steep hill. These are great trucks for carving. So much easier to control speed than with traditional longboard trucks such as Randall 180s (which I also own). I don't slide or anything like that but I feel like these trucks could bust a slide if you wanted them to.

In conclusion, I love these trucks and I will probably buy more when as I build my collection.

These came on a sector 9 longboard that I purchased last year. I like the tight turning radius and sensitive response of these trucks. I use large soft wheels (69mm 80a) for a smooth higher traction (no sliding) ride. It feels great to really dig in to a tight, high-force turn without sliding when commuting around campus. Since a little lean translates to more turn than many other truck styles, you may want to tighten them for higher speed applications. A few things to keep in mind with these is that the offset between the baseplate and the axle is about 1.5" center to center. So the axle center is actually in front of the end of the baseplate for the front truck (and behind on the rear tuck). This can be really useful if the trucks are mounted at the very front and rear of the board as the wheels can be almost past the front and rear of the deck avoiding wheel bite issues on tapered deck styles. On the downside, these trucks are pretty heavy, moderately tall, and there are twice as many kingpins and bushings to maintain/replace.

I never thought that I could turn so fast! These trucks are incredibly responsive and smooth. I'm riding on some soft sector9 wheels and the turn radius is amazing, so much that half the time I thought my wheels were lifting off the ground whenever I turned a sharp corner. I have achieved a speed of 20 mph, anymore than that and it's a wobbly ride so no hill bombing. BUT just a guess (haven't tried it yet) removing the extra king pin might let you just attach the hanger like a normal set of trucks if you wanted to ride with speed. The quality of the construction is great, i hit a rail at around 10 mph and only noticed a mild scratch to the hanger. It didn't warp or break afterwords either. Great for experienced and new riders.

I got these trucks on my complete longboard I purchased online. They are very loose making it easier to make turns. The sidewinder trucks do wobble when you are going fast on a small hill or a pathway and I have read some reviews complaining about this. Overall these are great trucks once you get the hang of balancing and controlling it.

Yes, these trucks are great! Hard deep carving! If that's what you want, that's what you'll get. And at this price, it was a steal! I'm new to longboarding, but am catching on very quickly. I wasn't sure if I was going to get some wheelbite, so I did put a quarter inch riser on with some 70mm wheels. Even with the stock bushings, it was awesome right outta the box. I didn't even adjust any of the kingpins. I'll have to learn more of what I need with these trucks. But so far, they seem really cool. The turn radius is awesome! I would recommend these trucks to anybody who wants to carve deep and longboard.

I am very impressed with these trucks. I made the switch from Bear Grizzly on my Loaded Vanguard with orange Orangatang In Heats. Before, I couldnt do slides on this board because the wheels where too hard for me to break free. Just by dinking around and funriding, I was able to do handless powerslides and drifting turns going downhill easily.

Many reviwes I have read, and many owners of these trucks who Ive talked to say the same thing: they are great for lower to mid speeds, but for downhill and highspeeds they are wobbly and all over and hard to control, I COMPLETLEY DISAGREE! I tried bombing the same hills I bomb on my other board(Landyachtz Switchblade) and I found that these trucks are NO more squirly than anything else, I had no speed wobbles what so ever. And at low speeds, I can spin U turns on bike paths, which I have never been able to do on any other board Ive ridden.

KEEP IN MIND: These trucks will give you about a 5 inch wheelbase increase! Before buying them, I figured they would ride a bit higher above the ground, but they really dont.

Any longboard I get from now on that isnt a drop-through, I will get these trucks for!

Realy good!!!!! I bought these to switch out the crapy trucks that came with my board and the only thing i can say is abousalutly beest!!!!! They carve better then anyother trucks i have had experiance with. I recomend this iteam to anyone who is in love with carving. However i have read in other reviews that when going at high speeds you can get some wable with the board. Sadly this is true. You have to get a feel for the trucks before attempting to bomb hills. Hope this helped. Now go and get boarding!!!!!
